Grant Management Consultant

General Description We are an established industrial real-estate property management and construction company located in Carolina, Puerto Rico. The Company owns and operates a portfolio of industrial warehouse properties throughout Carolina in partnership with its parent Opportunity Zone fund, as well as manages the construction and maintenance of its buildings. The Grant Management Consultant will lead the full lifecycle of grant activities, including reporting, compliance monitoring, and post‑award management. This role requires strong analytical skills, exceptional writing ability, and experience working with grants related to housing, infrastructure, construction, sustainability, and renewable energy. Key Responsibilities:Financial Leadership: Manage grant application, including budgets, timelines, and supporting documentation. Manage grant agreements, ensuring all terms, conditions, and deliverables are understood and met. Track project expenditures to ensure alignment with approved budgets and allowable costs. Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and finance teams to gather data and maintain accurate records. Prepare required reports (financial, performance, compliance) for funders and regulatory agencies. Monitor regulatory and compliance requirements related to federal, state, and renewable‑energy‑specific grants. Maintain documentation and audit‑ready files for all grant‑related activities. Serve as primary point of contact for grantors, auditors, and internal leadership. Support long‑term funding strategy for solar and other renewable energy initiatives Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration, Business, Finance, Sustainability, or related field (Master’s preferred) 3+ years of experience in grant writing, grant administration, or compliance (experience in real estate, construction, or renewable energy strongly preferred) Proven track record of successful grant awards Strong writing, research, and analytical skills Familiarity with federal and state grant portals (e.g., HUD, DOE, USDA, FEMA, state energy programs) Experience managing budgets, reporting requirements, and compliance documentation Ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines Strong communication and collaboration skills Preferred Skills: Strong leadership and team management skills. Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel. Familiarity with construction accounting software. Personal Attributes: Strategic thinker with excellent problem-solving skills.
