The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of blockchain technology and its associated smart contract capabilities. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in developing and deploying smart contracts for our blockchain projects, ensuring the secure, efficient, and innovative application of decentralized technology. Required Qualifications: • Candidate must be located within commuting distance of Mississauga, ON / Burnaby, BC / Calgary, AB (Canada) or be willing to relocate to the area. • Candidates authorized to work for any employer in Canada without employer based visa sponsorship are welcome to apply. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education. • At least 4 years of Information Technology experience • Candidate needs to work in PST time zone Tasks and Responsibilities • Maintain and update all OSS and third-party dependencies, including but not limited to Quorum, Tessera, Ethlogger, Blockchain-utility, Velaro, Geneva, applying secure versions and patches as needed.. • Modify OSS and other dependencies as required to support their updated internal dependencies and ensure smooth integration with the CCLA codebase. • Validate forks and integrations using existing unit/integration tests, and create new tests where coverage is insufficient. • Monitor the CCLA project weekly for new vulnerabilities and provide detailed status reports. • Collaborate closely with Microsoft and the Operations team to ensure alignment and resolve issues. Skills and Expertise • Proficiency in Go and Java programming languages. • Strong understanding of blockchain technologiesand related ecosystems. • Experience with OSS contribution and package management. • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing frameworks. • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. The job entails sitting as well as working at a computer for extended periods of time. Should be able to communicate by telephone, email or face to face.
