We are seeking a Construction Estimator to support our team at Renner, leaders in running track and court construction across the Rocky Mountain region, specializing in post-tension concrete. Reporting to the General Manager, the Construction Estimator will be working from our Denver office when they are not on the field. They will be responsible for aligning and tracking all bid activity in the region, reviewing bid scopes, accurately estimate and input costs, preparing formal proposals for various sports surfacing and underlayment for athletic facilities projects. What you’ll do: Maintain and actively update bid activity metrics. Lead weekly bid-tracking calls with Regional Sales representatives. Perform pre-bid tasks, including: Procuring and distributing plans and specifications. Conducting site visits and scope reviews. Requesting quotes from subcontractors and suppliers. Request bid bonds and submit RFIs to owners/A\&E teams. Generate material takeoffs and verify sub trade pricing. Pre-qualify subcontractors and assess scope alignment. Review General and Supplemental Conditions. Build detailed estimates, set target profitability (with supervisor guidance). Identify and evaluate project scope risks; recommend mitigation strategies. Submit final bid packages for executive review. Confirm buy-out at time of contract, summarizing all costs including accepted alternates. Work with Project Managers to address scope changes and identify opportunities for added revenue or cost savings. Assist with bid forms and evaluation of subcontractor proposals, including: Project schedules Management plans Scope clarifications Narratives Alternates and unit pricing Key personnel resumes Subcontractor qualifications Chair bid review meetings and ensure all proposal elements are complete and competitive. What you need for success: Education: Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; and five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience 2 -4 years of experience; civil construction estimating (concrete, site storm water systems, site excavation, sports field construction, athletic facility/surfaces etc. preferred.) Project Evaluation \& Estimation: Demonstrates expertise in evaluating and estimating projects, integrating schedules, and engaging with key stakeholders, including the design team, owners, operations, and estimating. Contract Knowledge: Strong understanding of various contract types, including hard-bid/lump-sum, cost-plus, and guaranteed-maximum price (GMP). Technical Skills: Highly proficient in reading and interpreting construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents. (Bluebeam Revu) Bid distribution platforms such as Procore is preferred. Software Proficiency: Intermediate to expert-level proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and cost estimating software. Additional Skills: Strong understanding of construction methods, materials and legal regulations Experience in athletic projects is a plus (tracks and court) The ability to travel 25% of the year when needed. Remote Construction Estimator-Spray Foam/Fire Proofing
Per-Project Trade Estimator (100% Remote | 1099) Spray Foam Insulation | Fireproofing Baybuild Estimators is expanding our network of experienced trade estimators to support commercial construction projects nationwide. This is a 100% remote, per-project estimating role. You will not work directly with clients, no selling is required, and all communication flows through Baybuild Estimators. About the Role As a Trade Estimator with Baybuild, your responsibility is to produce accurate, professional takeoffs and pricing deliverables based on issued construction documents.
