Chief Financial Officer (Retail/Consumer/E-commerce background)

We’re looking for a hands-on Chief Financial Officer to own the entire finance function end-to-end—from accounts payable and vendor negotiations to FP\&A, capital raises, and team leadership. This role is for a true operator: someone who can be in the weeds with payables and forecasting while also leading capital strategy, lender relationships, and long-term financial planning. You’ll be a core member of the executive team and a key partner to merchandising, operations, and leadership. This role will deal with mostly the global side of the company, specifically in the USA. Responsibilities: Financial Leadership \& Strategy ● Serve as a strategic partner to the CEO and executive team on company direction, growth, and capital allocation ● Own short- and long-term financial planning, including budgets, forecasts, and scenario modeling ● Translate operational and merchandising decisions into clear financial outcomes ● Build financial discipline while supporting growth and brand partnerships ● Work with global / international stakeholders, including USA-based leadership and partners Accounts Payable \& Vendor Finance ● Own all accounts payable processes, cash planning, and payment execution ● Lead vendor negotiations related to payment terms, dating, credit limits, and strategic partnerships ● Maintain strong, trust-based relationships with brand partners and suppliers ● Develop scalable systems for AP, vendor compliance, and cash forecasting ● Work with global / international stakeholders, including USA-based brand partners and suppliers FP\&A \& Reporting ● Build and maintain robust FP\&A processes, including weekly cash flow forecasting ● Deliver clear financial reporting to leadership (P\&L, balance sheet, cash flow) ● Analyze margins, inventory turns, markdowns, and working capital ● Create dashboards and KPIs for retail, e-commerce, and operations teams Capital Raising \& Financing ● Lead all capital raising efforts, including: o Equity raises (institutional, strategic, or private investors) o Debt financing (banks, asset-based lending, inventory financing, credit facilities) ● Manage lender and investor relationships ● Prepare investor materials, financial models, and due diligence packages ● Support M\&A or strategic partnership evaluation as needed ● Work with global / international stakeholders, including USA-based investors and lenders Accounting \& Bookkeeping ● Oversee bookkeeping, accounting close, and financial controls ● Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual closes ● Manage external partners (CPA firms, auditors, tax advisors) ● Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal policies Team Leadership \& Systems ● Build, lead, and develop the finance team (accounting, FP\&A, AP) ● Implement and improve financial systems, tools, and workflows ● Establish clear ownership, accountability, and scalable processes ● Foster a culture of transparency, rigor, and collaboration Qualifications: Education Required: Master’s or Post-Graduate degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
