Use JobFu inside Claude and ChatGPT

JobFu runs a public Model Context Protocol (MCP) server. Add it to your AI assistant and it can search current job listings, look up salary data and check who is hiring, then link you straight to each job on JobFu.

Server URL:

Free, read-only and no sign in. The server never sees your JobFu account, CV or chats.

Add JobFu to Claude

Custom connectors work on Claude Free, Pro, Max, Team and Enterprise (Free allows one custom connector).

  1. Open Customize > Connectors.
  2. Click + Add, then Add custom connector.
  3. Name it JobFu, paste https://jobfu.app/api/mcp as the server URL and click Continue.
  4. Under Authentication choose No sign in, then click Add.
  5. In a chat, click +, open Connectors and switch JobFu on.

On Team and Enterprise plans an owner adds the connector under Organization settings > Connectors first. Members then connect it from Customize > Connectors. See Anthropic's guide to custom connectors.

Add JobFu to ChatGPT

ChatGPT accepts remote MCP servers through developer mode, which OpenAI offers on paid plans on the web. Menu names have changed between releases, so follow the current labels in your settings:

  1. In ChatGPT settings, turn on Developer mode.
  2. Create a new app (connector) from a remote MCP server.
  3. Name it JobFu and paste https://jobfu.app/api/mcp as the server URL.
  4. Choose No authentication and save. ChatGPT lists the three JobFu tools.
  5. In a chat, add JobFu from the + menu and ask about jobs.

What it can do

  • search_jobs: Find open roles by job title, with an optional location and a remote-only filter. Up to 10 results per call.
  • salary_lookup: Median, middle-half range, min and max pay for a role, computed from advertised salaries on current listings.
  • company_jobs: See which roles a company has open right now, with the total count.

Try asking:

  • “Find remote backend engineer jobs and show the salary where it is listed.”
  • “What does a data analyst earn in London?”
  • “Is Stripe hiring product managers right now?”

For developers

  • Transport: Streamable HTTP, JSON responses, no sessions. Supports the initialize handshake (protocol 2025-03-26 to 2025-11-25) and per-request versioning (2026-07-28).
  • Rate limited per IP. Results are capped at 10 listings per call.
  • Data comes from the same index behind JobFu's public job pages.
