Videographer & Video Editor
We’re looking for a creative videographer and video editor to help us produce engaging content for social media. Our content focuses primarily on fabrication, welding and the automotive industry. An interest or passion in these areas would be a big advantage. You don’t need to be a welder or mechanic, but we’d love someone who enjoys these subjects and is keen to learn more about them. You’ll help plan, film and edit short-form videos for TikTok, Instagram and Facebook, as well as longer videos for YouTube. You’ll also contribute content ideas and help prepare and manage social media posts. What you’ll do: - Film product demonstrations, projects and other content within our niches. - Edit footage into engaging short-form and long-form videos. - Add captions, music and graphics where needed. - Bring fresh content ideas and help plan shoots. - Prepare and schedule social media posts. - Keep footage and editing projects organised. - Work with feedback and meet agreed deadlines. What we’re looking for: - Practical filming and editing skills, with examples of your work. - Creativity and an understanding of what makes social media videos engaging. - A good eye for framing, lighting and sound. - Someone reliable, organised and willing to learn. - Preferably an interest in fabrication, welding or automotive content. Junior applicants are welcome. No particular editing software is required; let us know what you’re comfortable using. Equipment and transport: All filming and editing equipment is provided. This is an office-based role in Retreat, Cape Town. You’ll need to arrange your own commute, while transport for work-related shoots will be arranged by us.
