Design Engineer

Position Overview We are seeking a motivated Entry-Level Civil Design Engineer to join our team. This role is ideal for recent graduates or engineers with limited professional experience who are eager to apply their technical knowledge, gain hands-on design experience, and grow within the civil engineering profession. You will work under the guidance of senior engineers on a variety of projects, including grading, drainage, utility design, site development, and public works improvements. This role will require the majority of work to be performed in-office; applicants must be local. Key Responsibilities Prepare engineering plans, reports, and calculations under the supervision of senior staff. Conduct basic hydrology, hydraulics, and utility calculations. Use CAD and Civil 3D software to design grading, drainage, and utility systems. Assist in developing construction documents and permit applications. Perform technical calculations and basic analysis tasks. Support project teams in meeting client expectations and deadlines. Collaborate with team members to develop efficient, constructible, and cost-effective designs. Attend site visits and assist with fieldwork as needed. Stay current on local codes, standards, and permitting requirements. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (required). Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification, or intent to obtain within 12 months. Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D (preferred). Strong technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
