Practice Manager
Position Overview A full-time Practice Manager position is available at Mitcham \& Tooting Health, a well-established GP practice with 8000 patients operating across two sites. We maintain a 'Good' CQC rating and are committed to delivering excellence in patient care. Role Summary As Practice Manager, you will be a key member of the senior leadership team, responsible for managing all aspects of practice operations while fostering a collaborative workplace culture. The role focuses on optimizing efficiency, financial performance, and ensuring the practice achieves its strategic objectives in a safe and effective environment. Key Responsibilities: Operations Management * Oversee daily practice operations and staff performance * Manage clinical and administrative staff, including direct supervision of: * Operations Manager * Administration Lead * Practice Administrators * Patient Services Team * Practice Nursing Team * Salaried GPs Human Resources * Lead recruitment, retention, and succession planning * Conduct staff inductions and return-to-work interviews * Maintain HR compliance and documentation * Implement effective appraisal and training systems * Handle disciplinary and grievance procedures Practice Development * Ensure QOF target achievement * Manage practice contracts and procurement * Coordinate policy updates and compliance * Lead continuous improvement initiatives * Maintain NHS contractual obligations Patient Services \& Communication * Develop internal and external communication strategies * Manage the Patient Participation Group * Handle complaints according to NHSE guidelines * Promote online patient services * Maintain practice and NHS Choices websites Facilities \& Compliance * Oversee premises management and health \& safety * Ensure IT security and information governance * Manage practice insurance coverage * Coordinate business resilience planning * Maintain CQC compliance Required Skills * Strong leadership and communication abilities * Robust HR management experience * Excellent organizational skills * Strategic thinking and problem-solving capabilities * Experience in financial management * Understanding of healthcare regulations and compliance What We Offer * Opportunity to lead a dedicated healthcare team * Supportive working environment * Professional development opportunities * Competitive compensation package Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Pay: £50,000.00-£60,000.00 per year Benefits: * Referral program Experience: * GP Practice Management: 1 year (Preferred) Work Location: In person
