Technical Business Analyst

Sydney, New South Wales, Australia

About the job Own bank pricing projects end-to-end in a fast-paced, dynamic team. If you’ve sat on the BA side of a bank project and watched requirements disappear into a black box, this is the opposite. You’ll sit in a small Agile team, run your own client accounts from day one, and see your work go live in front of the clients that asked for it. About the company Banking software used by banks including Macquarie, CBA, and other major overseas financial institutions. The team is small, and the work is high-profile. Why this role * You get ownership early. You’ll manage a handful of client accounts yourself, working from a high-level brief through to delivery. * AI is going into the product itself, and you’ll help decide where. Bring your ideas on the product and on how the team works. * There’s a real path to Product Owner. * Hybrid working in the Sydney CBD. What you’ll own * Taking apart pricing models and working out how to rebuild them. * Sit with bank pricing specialists and financial modellers, and turn what they say into clear JIRA tickets. * Testing what comes back from the developers against the original requirements. * Bringing practical AI ideas to the table, for the product and for how the team works. We’d love to speak to you if you have * Experience as a Business Analyst in banking, finance, financial modelling, or a related industry (ideally around pricing). * You’re comfortable working independently and moving fast. * Hands-on experience with AI tools (side projects count). * Comfort with Excel models, including macros. * Curiosity and a long-term mindset. We're searching for someone who wants to grow rather than someone with a perfect CV. * Preferred : Working knowledge of a programming or query language such as Python, SQL, Java or C. Interview process Step 1: One-hour interview with the hiring manager and a senior colleague Step 2: In-person meeting with the CEO.
