The Role We’re looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our Agile team, delivering innovative cloud-native solutions for millions of users. You’ll lead technical initiatives, own features end-to-end, drive best practices, and mentor other engineers. Key Responsibilities Design and deliver scalable, complex systems, APIs, and data pipelines. Lead technical discussions, influence architecture, and drive quality standards. Partner with cross-functional teams to deliver solutions aligned with business goals. Champion TDD/BDD, automated testing, security practices, and production support. Mentor junior engineers and drive continuous improvement, including responsible AI adoption. Skills \& Experience 5–7 years professional software development experience, with a strong focus on modern front-end application development. Advanced React.js expertise, including hooks, component architecture, performance optimization, and modern React best practices. Strong proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3, and responsive UI development. Hands-on experience with modern React ecosystem tools, including: Redux Toolkit and RTK Query for state management and API data fetching Material UI (MUI) component library and theming styled-components or similar CSS-in-JS solutions Experience building scalable, accessible, and user-focused web applications, including reusable component design and frontend architecture. Familiarity with modern frontend tooling and testing practices (Vite/Webpack, Jest, React Testing Library, or similar). Solid backend development experience using .NET Core and C#, with the ability to design and consume RESTful APIs. Experience integrating frontend applications with cloud-hosted services (Azure or AWS). Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker), and modern development workflows. Knowledge of SQL/NoSQL databases, clean architecture principles, and SOLID design practices. Experience collaborating across product, UX/design, and backend teams; mentoring or technical leadership experience is a plus. Why Join Us? We’re looking for a practical, detail-focused Business Analyst who enjoys understanding how things work, spotting inefficiencies, and helping teams move towards better, simpler processes. If you enjoy working closely with stakeholders, breaking down complexity, and supporting projects that introduce automation, AI and new ways of working, this role offers real impact, visibility and variety. You’ll play a key role across a mix of improvement initiatives – including migrations, automation and operational optimisation – working alongside Project Managers, Business Analysts, third-party partners and technical teams to deliver meaningful change across IRIS. Why This Role Matters IRIS is modernising how we work, and your analysis will help determine where and how that change happens. You’ll help teams understand their current processes, identify what slows them down, and define the improvements needed to deliver faster, more accurate and less manual ways of working. That may involve new workflows, automation opportunities, or supporting migrations to and from internal and external systems. This is high-impact work that influences colleagues, customers and the future of our operations. About the Team You’ll Join You’ll join our Business Analysis team within Change & Transformation – a group of eight BAs and Senior BAs who support major programmes across the business. You’ll work closely with: • Stakeholders from multiple departments • RPA and automation partners • IT, QA, Change and Project Management teams It’s a collaborative, supportive environment where clear thinking, curiosity and problem-solving are valued every day. What You’ll Be Doing • Map and document current-state processes (as-is) using BPMN or similar techniques • Run workshops, interviews and discovery sessions to understand how teams operate • Use data to quantify manual effort, inefficiencies and potential returns on improvement • Define future-state (to-be) processes that support automation, optimisation and migrations • Identify automation opportunities alongside third-party RPA partners • Produce PDDs, SDDs and analysis artefacts that guide technical delivery • Translate business needs into structured, accurate requirements • Support UAT activity, prepare test cases, track defects and ensure readiness • Monitor bot and process performance post-deployment and highlight improvements • Maintain traceability from requirements through to delivery • Support stakeholder communication and change management activities What We’re Looking For Someone who brings structure, clarity and practical thinking to every project — especially when working with complex processes or challenging stakeholders.
