Position Summary The Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) provides skilled physical therapy services under the direction and supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist and in accordance with physician orders. This role supports patient recovery by delivering high-quality therapeutic interventions while ensuring compliance with all clinical, documentation, and safety standards. Key Responsibilities Deliver skilled physical therapy services to patients with injuries, disabilities, or functional limitations. Implement treatment plans including therapeutic exercise, functional training, modalities, and patient education. Accurately document daily treatments and patient progress in compliance with Medicare, Medicaid, and regulatory guidelines. Monitor patient responses and report significant changes to the Physical Therapist and referring physician. Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs to support independence and recovery. Maintain a safe, professional, and patient-centered clinical environment. Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure coordinated, high-quality care. Qualifications Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program. Active PTA license/registration in the state of practice. Experience treating acute and chronic conditions preferred. Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills. Ability to work flexible hours as needed to meet patient care demands. Proficiency in English (additional languages a plus).
