Staff / Senior Software Engineer (Full-Stack, Frontend-Leaning) High-Growth AI Platform | NYC | up to $300k + equity We’re partnered with a fast-growing, venture-backed start0up building mission-critical software for a massive, underserved industry undergoing rapid transformation. They’re looking for a highly product-minded Software Engineer to join a small, elite engineering team and take true ownership across product and engineering. This is an opportunity to work directly with experienced founders, shape roadmap decisions, and build sophisticated customer-facing workflows from the ground up. T What you’ll be doing Owning customer-facing product features end-to-end, from idea through architecture, build and iteration Building polished, high-performance frontend experiences for complex, data-rich workflows Developing backend systems, APIs and automated workflows powering core platform functionality Working directly with founders, design and customers to translate technically complex workflows into intuitive product experiences Integrating AI and LLM-powered capabilities into operational workflows where accuracy and usability matter Helping shape engineering culture and technical direction as an early, high-impact team member Tech Environment React, TypeScript, Next.js Modern backend systems (Golang experience helpful but not essential) APIs, WebSockets, real-time systems LLMs, AI integrations and intelligent workflows What they’re looking for Strong product instincts and genuine ownership mentality Excellent frontend engineering skills with an eye for UX and performance Full-stack capability and comfort shipping end-to-end features Experience in start-up or high-ownership environments preferred * Someone excited by ambiguity, pace and building alongside founders Why this role stands out ✅ Small, exceptionally high-talent engineering team ✅Genuine ownership and influence over roadmap + product direction ✅ Meaningful equity upside at an early stage ✅ Interesting technical challenges across real-time systems, AI and product engineering ✅ Direct collaboration with experienced founders solving hard, commercially important problems Compensation: $180k–$300k base + equity Location: NYC (5 days onsite, flexible hours) If you’re excited by high ownership, ambitious product challenges and building in an environment where engineers genuinely shape the business, this could be a very special opportunity.
