Our Pershore office specialises in business accounting and is looking to recruit a Senior Accountant to join the team. The role The role is full-time and based in our Pershore Office, with occasional travel to our offices in Twyning, Ledbury and Cheltenham, as well as travel to clients. We would consider applicants wishing to work 5 days per week but shorter hours (such as 9am to 3pm). You will be responsible for providing a high level of service to our business clients, ensuring compliance work is completed both accurately and efficiently and supporting the wider team with advisory assignments. Ideally, we are looking for someone with experience of working in an accountancy practice who has recent experience in working with a range of owner managers and their associated businesses, although we are willing to consider candidates with transferable skills or experience. The role offers excellent opportunities for progression for ambitious candidates. Key Responsibilities: Prepare accounts for small limited companies, partnerships and sole traders, adhering to relevant accounting standards. Prepare personal and business tax returns, including corporation tax and VAT, ensuring accurate calculation of tax liabilities and timely submissions. Prepare monthly or quarterly management accounts and provide training and guidance to clients to improve their own finance functions. Managing own day-to-day workflow, ensuring deadlines and budgets are met. Review the work of junior colleagues and offer day-to-day support to them. Build and maintain strong client relationships, addressing queries and corresponding in a professional manner at all times. Stay updated on changes in tax legislation and accounting standards to ensure compliance and accurate advice. Identify and suggest enhancements to processes, contributing to the development of best practices. Requirements: Qualified accountant (Part qualified finalists considered) Previous experience in a similar role within a practice. Proficiency in accounting software and tax preparation tools (Xero essential, IRIS desirable). Strong accuracy and attention to detail in all tasks. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey information. Strong organisational and time-management abilities, with experience managing own tasks and deadlines effectively. Proven ability to build and maintain client relationships, emphasising exceptional service delivery. Payroll Assistant - Ledbury

We are currently looking for an assistant to join our payroll team, which is located at the Ledbury office. The payroll bureau at Ledbury looks after the payrolls for the clients of all four offices. This is an office-based role and will be based on working 5 days a week (37.5 hours) in the Ledbury office. We can be flexible for the right candidate, and consider a part-time role. The role We are looking for an organised individual to assist our busy payroll team. The individual will be responsible for the payroll duties to allow the members of Ledbury team to focus on other areas of work. The individual we recruit will be an active and key member of our Ledbury office. The individual will be processing payrolls on BrightPay software in a timely and efficient manner, for review by the payroll manger. The role will also include communicating with clients and HMRC, ensuring payroll deadlines are met and completing auto enrolment duties. It would be preferable for the individual to have prior payroll knowledge. The individual We are looking for someone who is organised and has exceptional attention to detail. The individual should have the following qualities: Excellent communication skills Good IT skills, particularly in Excel and outlook. The Role We are looking for a proactive, dynamic and hardworking individual to support the team in Twyning with all reception and administration duties. Provide full administrative and secretarial support to the Twyning team and management. Act as the first point of contact for clients and visitors, delivering a professional and welcoming experience. Manage incoming calls, emails, post, and general office correspondence. Maintain and update internal systems and databases. Support with client onboarding and credit control processes. Assist with tax return administration and occasional company secretarial tasks. Monitor internal deadlines and reporting requirements. Collaborate with the wider admin team across all offices to improve and streamline processes Essential qualities Proven experience in a receptionist or administrative role, ideally within an accountancy or professional services environment.
