Senior Business Intelligence Analyst

The Senior Business Intelligence Analyst will strengthen FCB’s data-driven decision-making capabilities and lead complex, large-scale projects from start to finish. Strategic thinking and long-term planning capabilities, with the ability to align analytics with business objectives. You will design and maintain business intelligence (BI) dashboards and reports, analyze key business metrics, and partner closely with stakeholders to turn complex data into simple, consumable, and impactful recommendations. Act as a mentor and coach, guiding employees in advanced analytics capabilities to accelerate growth within the organization. Essential Job Responsibilities\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\ 1. Collects, cleans, organizes, and analyzes large datasets from internal and external sources. 2. Develops and maintains dashboards, reports, visualizations, and KPIs using BI tools to track performance and highlight trends. 3. Identifies patterns, opportunities, risks, and areas for improvement through data mining, statistical analysis, and predictive modeling. 4. Queries databases and produces standard or custom reports for executives, managers, and stakeholders. 5. Collaborates with cross-functional teams to understand business needs, defines requirements, and translates data into recommendations. 6. Maintains and update BI tools, databases, dashboards, and systems, including managing data flows, ensuring timely delivery of information, and managing technical support for reports and tools for stakeholders. 7. Ensures data accuracy, integrity, security, and compliance while updating BI tools, databases, and systems. 8. Provides ad-hoc analysis and support data-driven strategies for growth, optimization, or problem-solving. 9. Develops and implements advanced data modeling and predictive analytics solutions to drive business growth. Bona Fide Occupational Qualifications\\\\\\\\\\\\\_ 1. Bachelor’s degree in business analytics, computer science, statistics, business information technology, or a related field. 2. Excellent written and verbal communications and trouble-shooting skills, strong vendor management and negotiation skills, and strong database knowledge and experience. 3. Minimum of 3-5+ years of experience in data analytics roles leveraging BI platforms (e.g., Tableau, Power BI). 4. Technical skills: Proficiency in SQL for querying, data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI), Excel/advanced spreadsheets, and often Python or R for analysis. Knowledge of warehousing, ETL processes, and BI platforms. 5. Analytical skills: Strong data analysis, critical thinking, problem-solving, innovative drive, and ability to spot trends or insights in complex datasets. 6. Soft skills: Strong leadership experience and team management abilities, with experience in guiding and developing teams. 7. Attention to detail, ability to manage multiple priorities, and staying current with BI and AI technologies and industry trends. 8. Cross-functional collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders across the organization. 9. Coach and mentor junior and mid-level business intelligence analysts, providing technical guidance, conducting code reviews, delivering training sessions, and offering constructive feedback to develop their analytical, SQL, data visualization, and problem solving skills while fostering a culture of continuous improvement and data driven excellence. 10. About Truyu Truyu is a digital identity protection platform backed by CommBank and built by x15ventures, focused on helping Australians spot identity fraud before it becomes a financial problem. The app monitors things like identity checks, suspicious activity, and data breaches, then alerts users if something looks off. From a product perspective, it sits at the intersection of fintech, cybersecurity, and consumer trust, tackling a real-world problem with strong user relevance and clear social impact. About The Role We are looking for a Product Manager to join an existing and expanding team delivering identity protection for all Australians. You will work with the product and design team to deliver discovery, validate opportunities, set product direction, and guide the squad through delivery. You will work closely with engineers, designers, partners, and internal stakeholders to bring new concepts to life and deliver customer-ready MVPs. This is a hands-on role aimed at someone who enjoys building from a blank sheet of paper and is comfortable shaping new product lines in an environment where the problem space, customer needs and commercial model must be worked out in parallel. Key Responsibilities * Conduct discovery to identify high-value problems and opportunities in identity, security and / or frauds and scams prevention. * Develop and test hypotheses, run lightweight experiments and validate customer demand. * Define clear product strategies and MVP scopes for new concepts that align with Truyu’s broader goals and CBA’s priorities. * Deliver MVP or feature updates end-to-end, working closely with design and engineering. * Work with third-party suppliers and strategic partners to deliver and maintain product services. * Lean in, alongside the team, to maintain and refine the product backlog. * Collaborate with design to write research briefs and run activities to understand customer needs and validate assumptions. * Champion a customer evidence mindset within the squad, from MVP discovery to delivery testing. * Communicate progress, risks and insights clearly to senior leaders across product and engineering. * Make considered trade-offs between scope, speed and quality to maintain momentum and deliver MVPs on time. * Lead engagement with the growth team to deliver growth across CommBank channels. * Maintain website, app stores and other customer-facing channels to represent the product and drive growth. * Produce key documents and materials required for key stakeholders. About You You are a product thinker first. You care about solving the right problems and creating real value for customers and the business. * Deep experience in Product Owner or Product Management roles, with at least one example where you helped take a product or major feature from idea to first launch in a new or ambiguous space. * Strong product discovery skills. You are comfortable interviewing customers, mapping workflows, running small experiments and using those insights to shape what to build next. * Clear product sense. You can look at a problem, cut through noise and frame a simple, compelling value proposition that resonates. * Creative and pragmatic. You can generate options, but you also know how to narrow them down and choose a path that can be built by a small team. * Able to use both qualitative insights and basic product analytics to make decisions and measure whether something is working. * Strong communicator. You can tell the story of a product, explain the trade-offs and bring stakeholders along without jargon. * Collaborative by default. You enjoy working side by side with engineers, designers and operations to solve problems end to end. * Comfortable with ambiguity.
