Medical Director – Mobile IV Hydration (1099 Contract) Location: Reno–Tahoe Area (Remote/Hybrid Oversight) Position Type: Independent Contractor (1099) Specialties Encouraged to Apply: Emergency Medicine, Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Sports Medicine About Code IV Mobile Hydration Code IV Mobile Hydration is a Reno–Tahoe–based mobile IV hydration service providing physician-directed, protocol-based supportive care to adult clients. Services are delivered in non-clinical settings (homes, hotels, etc) by licensed medical personnel under approved standing orders. Our focus is conservative, safety-first care — not high-volume drip bar medicine or cosmetic wellness. We serve both local residents and visitors navigating the unique demands of altitude, travel, and active lifestyles in Northern Nevada. Role Overview We are seeking a Medical Director to provide clinical oversight, protocol approval, and physician delegation for our mobile IV hydration program. This is a non-clinical, non-shift-based role focused on medical governance rather than direct patient care. The Medical Director will function as an independent contractor (1099) and retain full professional autonomy. Key Responsibilities Review, approve, and periodically update clinical protocols and standing orders Provide physician delegation for IV hydration and supportive therapies Participate in quality assurance and chart review as needed Be available for consultation regarding adverse events or protocol questions Collaborate on service expansion or protocol refinement as the program grows This role does not require on-site presence for routine visits and does not involve emergency response or patient transport. What This Role Is (and Is Not) This role is: Physician-directed oversight of a structured clinical program Protocol-based and conservative in scope Designed for flexibility and low time burden This role is not: A clinical shift position An employment role (1099 independent contractor) A drip-bar or cosmetic wellness operation Qualifications Active, unrestricted Nevada medical license (MD or DO) Board-certified or board-eligible (EM, FM, IM, or related specialty preferred) Comfort with physician delegation and protocol-based care Active malpractice insurance (medical director or supervisory coverage) Interest in community-based, non-traditional care models Prior experience as a medical director is a plus, but not required. Compensation Competitive monthly stipend and/or per-client fee (commensurate with experience and involvement) Flexible structure (flat stipend or hybrid model) * No fixed hours or shift requirements Details to be discussed with qualified candidates.
