Job Title: Cloud/DevOps Engineer (GCP) Location: Onsite in Phoenix, AZ / Charlotte, NC/ Sunrise, FL Rate: $42/hr on W2 (No C2C / No OPT) Job Summar yWe are seeking an experienced Engineer II I with strong expertise in Java, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), CI/CD pipelines, Java development, and DevOps practice s. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, deploying, and maintaining scalable cloud-based applications and automation solutions. The candidate should possess hands-on experience with CI/CD tools, source control management, database technologies, and event-driven architectures . Key Responsibiliti esDesign, develop, and maintain cloud-native applications and services o n Google Cloud Platform (GC P ).Build, optimize, and suppor t CI/CD pipelin es using tools such a s Jenki ns and other automation platform s.Develop and maintain backend services and applications usin g Ja va and related framework s.Implement and manage build automation usin g Mav e n.Manage source code repositories and branching strategies usin g Git, GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket, and S V N.Design, write, optimize, and troubleshoo t SQL queri es and work wit h relational database management systems (RDBM S ).Develop and support event-driven and real-time data processing solutions usin g Apache Kaf k a.Collaborate with developers, QA teams, architects, and operations teams to ensure smooth software delivery and deploymen t.Monitor application performance, troubleshoot production issues, and implement improvements for reliability and scalabilit y.Follow DevOps best practices including infrastructure automation, continuous integration, continuous deployment, and release managemen t.Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards, security guidelines, and best practice s. Required Skills \& Qualificati onsBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related fie ld.5+ years of experience in software engineering, cloud technologies, or DevOps engineeri ng.Strong hands-on experience wi th GCP servi ces (Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, Kubernetes Engine, Cloud Build, etc .).Expertise in CI/CD implementation and automat ion usi ng Jenk i ns.Strong programming experience in J ava and build management usi ng Ma v en.Proficiency with version control systems includi ng GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket, and S VN.Experience working wi th SQL a nd RDBMS platfo rms such as Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL, or SQL Serv er.Hands-on experience wi th Apache Ka fka and messaging/event streaming architectur es.Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC), Agile methodologies, and DevOps practic es.Excellent problem-solving, debugging, and communication skil ls. Preferred Qualificat ionsExperience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kuberne tes.Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraf orm.GCP certifications (Associate Cloud Engineer, Professional Cloud Developer, or equivale nt).Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Splunk, Grafana, or Prometh eus.Familiarity with microservices architecture and RESTful API developm ent.
