Overview We are seeking an experienced Superintendent - Commercial Constructionto oversee and manage large-scale commercial projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive construction site experience, and proficiency with construction management software. This role requires a detail-oriented professional capable of coordinating multiple teams, ensuring safety compliance, and delivering projects on time and within budget. The Superintendent will play a pivotal role in maintaining quality standards, managing subcontractors, and fostering effective communication across all project stakeholders. Responsibilities Lead and supervise all on-site construction activities, ensuring adherence to project plans, schedules, and safety protocols. Coordinate with project managers, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers to facilitate smooth workflow and timely completion of projects. Oversee daily site operations, including scheduling, resource allocation, and quality control measures. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction documents to ensure accurate execution of work. Utilize construction management software such as ProCore, Primavera P6, HeavyBid, and other tools for project scheduling, budgeting, and tracking progress. Manage project budgets by monitoring costs and implementing cost-saving measures without compromising quality. Ensure compliance with OSHA standards and other safety regulations; conduct regular safety inspections and training sessions. Supervise subcontractors and construction personnel; evaluate performance and enforce discipline when necessary. Maintain detailed documentation of project activities, changes, and issues; prepare reports for stakeholders. Conduct quality control inspections to verify that work meets specifications and industry standards. Address technical challenges using tools like ohmmeters; troubleshoot electrical or schematic issues as needed. Experience Proven experience in construction management, specifically within commercial projectsinvolving complex infrastructure such as pipelines or large facilities. Demonstrated supervising experienceon active construction sites with a track record of delivering projects on schedule. Strong knowledge of construction estimating, budgeting, blueprint reading, and project schedulingusing Primavera P6 or similar software. Familiarity with construction management softwaresuch as ProCore and Bluebeam for document control and collaboration. Extensive understanding of OSHA safety standardsalong with practical experience implementing safety protocols on-site. Ability to read schematics, technical drawings, and electrical diagrams; experience with tools like ohmmeters is a plus. Excellent management skills with the ability to lead diverse teams effectively while maintaining high standards of quality control in fast-paced environments.
