As a People Operations Manager , you’ll be the go-to person for all employee administration and support workplace operations. You’ll own onboarding, internal processes and documentation, people-related administration, and day-to-day office operations - ensuring every employee's experience feels organized, supported, and well cared for. In This Role, You’ll Onboarding * Own the onboarding process end-to-end, from new hire paperwork and equipment setup to first-week schedules. * Make sure every new employee feels welcomed and set up for success from day one, and continuously improve the experience based on feedback. Employee Administration * Support benefits enrollment coordination, assist with data entry and record-keeping, and handle offboarding logistics. * Act as the first point of contact for employee questions about policies and people processes. Internal Processes \& Documentation * Maintain and improve internal documentation, including the employee handbook and office policies. * Build and refine checklists and workflows for recurring people and office processes, keeping everything accurate and accessible as the company grows. Office Operations * Manage day-to-day office operations, including supplies, vendors, and facilities issues. * Coordinate offsites, team events, and office celebrations, and ensure the office runs smoothly and is a great place to work every day. * Manage reception, welcome guests, and ensure a pleasant office atmosphere at all times. Your Profile * Fluent German and English language skills. * Some experience in People Operations and Office Management. * Ability to work independently, in a structured, proactive, and reliable manner. * Ability to speak directly with employees, vendors, and leadership, and take the initiative to get involved. * Even in stressful situations, maintain a calm attitude, think in a solution-oriented way, and approach challenges pragmatically and hands-on. * Tech savvy, comfortable around Google Workspace Admin and Jira, with a high-level understanding of networks and cybersecurity. * Enjoy organisation and planning - whether coordinating appointments, organising events, or completing various office-related tasks. * 100% presence in the Berlin office in Mitte is a must. Job purpose An exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic analyst, seeking to gain exposure in Intercompany end to end processes across Africa Zone and Global. Key Purpose Statement The key purpose of this role is to perform end to end daily activities related to Africa Zone and Global processing of information to ensure that the Business Service Centre operational excellence and customer service objectives are achieved. The role ensures accurate processing of financial transactions, reporting and appropriate governance of all elements contained on the balance sheet, Income Statement and plus all processes housed in working capital. Financial transactions performed across various systems, including SAP, Oracle FCCS, and Cognos. Output and Accountabilities Preparation of intercompany chargeback requests Prepare and execute intercompany billings, payments, netting, cash application, accrual entries, adjustments and correction entries as needed Prepare account intercompany reconciliations, account analysisand provide detailed transactions to non-finance teams Prepare and upload intercompanyrelated journalsas required by the business, including accruals; recharges and creating invoices Investigateand resolvereconciling itemswith the aim to clear mismatches and aged items Review intercompany charges for completeness and integrity to the process Present and implement corrective action and preventative action for recurring process related issues. Assist the team to meet weekly and monthly targets and all relevant SLA’s and KPI's Participate in monthly closing for entities including balance sheet, income statement and other financial information for internal and external reporting purposes Investigate and resolve reconciling intercompany differences on FCCS and Cognos Provides customer support and responds to requests and accounting-related inquiries for intercompany processes Adhere to internal control protocols and provide information as required to internal and external audit Prepare, maintain and archive documentation to satisfy audit and statutory requirements including MICS and Sox controls Present to the Team Lead key challenges, insights and workarounds. Trouble shoot issues and share improvement ideas with Team Lead Maximize efficiency and effectiveness of process area, as the Subject Matter Expert for the process Identify automation opportunities to improve the way we operate and work closely with technology to leverage system functionalities to improve the process. Maintenance of role training documentation. Assisting in knowledge transfer to new employees within the role Perform Adhoc requests and projects Profile Degree in accounting or related field, post-graduate qualification will be an advantage Minimum of 3 -5 years prior related position experience in financial accounting required Competency in Computer skills (MS Office, Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI), with particularly strong Excel skills Knowledge of Financial Systems, SAP, FCCS (Financial Close and Consolidation System, COGNOS system) Comprehensive and up to date knowledge of IFRS will be an advantage Strong knowledge of Procurement to Pay processes and query resolution Able to work on own initiative and prioritize workload effectively.
