Ultrasonographer I PRN Ultrasonographer I PRN – Radiology Department Bring your passion to Texas Health so we are Better + Together Work location: Texas Health Denton: 3000 N I-35 Denton, TX 76201 Work hours: PRN (As Needed) Rotating Call Department Highlights: Team based environment Workplace culture 2nd to none Highly engaged Radiology Ultrasound management Here’s What You Need Education High School Diploma or Equivalent required Other Graduate of an AMA approved / accredited Ultrasound Program preferred Associate's Degree preferred Experience 1 years clinical experience in a hospital radiology preferred Licenses and Certifications BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required And ARRT - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Sonography Upon Hire Pref Or ARRT - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Sonography 12 Months Req Or ARDMS - American Registry for Diagnostic and Medical Sonographers upon hire preferred And ARDMS - American Registry for Diagnostic and Medical Sonographers 12 Months Req What You Will Do Imaging Procedures, Quality and Processing Explains procedures to patient or guardian / family member if applicable prior to and during exam. Images correct anatomical area of interest and pathology according to department protocols. Equipment Operation and Maintenance Adjusts technical parameters to optimize image. Operates, cares for and maintains equipment. Patient Care Prepares room for examination (i.e. suction, oxygen, supplies). Checks physician orders and exam requisitions using time-out procedures. Professional Accountability and Partnership Maintains ARDMS, CME credits and CPR yearly or when applicable (ARRT and CMRT if applicable).
