Key Responsibilities Provide comprehensive medical care for high-risk newborn infants, ensuring evidence-based practices are followed. Conduct thorough assessments, diagnostic evaluations, and create individualized treatment plans based on each infant's unique needs. Lead and mentor a team of neonatal specialists and provide guidance in advanced care techniques and procedures. Facilitate open communication with families to educate them on their infant's condition, treatment options, and progress. Participate in ongoing quality improvement initiatives to enhance neonatal care standards within the organization. Stay abreast of advancements in neonatology through continued education and participation in professional development opportunities. Medical degree with valid licensure as a Specialist Neonatologist. A minimum of 5-7 years of practical experience in a neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) environment. Proven expertise in managing complex cases involving critically ill newborns. Strong leadership and mentorship abilities with experience guiding a team of healthcare professionals. In-depth knowledge of current neonatal treatment protocols, evidence-based practices, and advancements in the field. Exceptional communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and colleagues. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of care. Board certification or fellowship training in Neonatology is preferred. Commitment to collaboration, continuous improvement, and providing compassionate care. Familiarity with neonatal resuscitation guidelines and advanced practice interventions.
