Senior Project Governance Officer
We are seeking a highly organised and detail‑driven Senior Project Governance Officer to provide strong governance, quality assurance and coordination across all MIT‑related projects. This is not a project manager position — it is a senior governance and oversight role that acts as the control tower for MIT, ensuring our teams, processes and vendors operate with clarity, alignment and disciplined execution. If you excel at structure, risk management, documentation, and bringing order to complex environments, this role is for you. Key Responsibilities As the Senior Project Governance Officer, you will: Ensure all MIT projects follow consistent governance standards, including RAID, quality checks and decision tracking. Coordinate MIT readiness activities, ensuring clear ownership, timelines and dependencies across all workstreams. Provide client‑side assurance by validating vendor plans and ensuring MIT is fully prepared for vendor-driven milestones. Maintain an organised, auditable SharePoint repository and strong version control of all artefacts. Produce consolidated dashboards and executive‑level reports with clear visibility of risks, issues and progress. Oversee MIT’s risk, issue and change request processes with disciplined escalation and follow-through. Support internal readiness for SIT/UAT and cutover, including defect tracking and quality gate alignment. Drive effective communication and stakeholder alignment across MIT, IT, Finance, HR, Sales and Operations. Qualifications \& Certifications Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Business, IT, Project Administration or related field. Advantageous certifications: Prince2 Foundation/Practitioner, Agile Foundation, Project Governance or PMO training. Optional: PMP or equivalent (beneficial but not required). Technical Skills \& Experience Expert-level RAID governance and documentation accuracy. Advanced proficiency in MS Office, SharePoint, MS Project, Jira or Asana. Strong ability to interpret complex vendor project plans, dependencies and readiness requirements. Exposure to ERP, enterprise system integration or cross‑functional transformation programmes (advantageous).
