N Position Type Management In a nutshell The Senior Manager Account Management (m/f/d) serves as the strategic link between Member Hotels, Design Hotels, and the Global Business Development teams. This role is responsible for preserving and sustaining business at member hotels, driving incremental revenue growth, and identifying new commercial opportunities within the assigned region. Through strategic consultation, strong relationship management, and expert representation of the Design Hotels brand, the Senior Manager Account Management fosters credibility and trust with member hotels while ensuring full alignment with Design Hotels \& Marriott systems, standards, and key stakeholders. The position is based at the Design Headoffice in Berlin, Germany. Tasks \& Responsibilities Strategic Account \& Relationship Management * Act as the main point of contact for all regional member hotels, maintaining strong, long-term partnerships. * Provide strategic consultation to member hotels on the optimal use of Design Hotels services and solutions. * Represent Design Hotels brand, values and commercial strategy to regional hotel partners. Revenue Growth \& Commercial Strategy * Develop, plan, and execute a regional commercial strategy aligned with global objectives and based on Design Hotels’ Global Key Account Matrix. * Increase revenue performance across the existing hotel portfolio. * Identify, source, and close opportunities for additional products and services. * Prepare annual sales and marketing budgets, support forecasting and planning activities for member hotels in the region Contract \& Portfolio Management * Support contract renewals for all member hotels in respective region * Support negotiations and execution of supplement agreements for additional services * Ensure contractual compliance and long-term value creation for both parties Market Intelligence \& Strategy Development * Monitor regional market trends, competition, and growth opportunities * Analyze regional and global strategies to identify revenue opportunities * Adapt commercial approaches in response to changing market conditions Competencies Strategic \& Commercial * Strong understanding of hospitality commercial strategy and revenue models * Ability to translate global strategy into regional execution Relationship Management * Exceptional stakeholder management and consultative selling skills * High credibility with senior hotel executives and ownership groups Communication \& Influence * Clear, confident communicator across cultures and seniority levels * Skilled negotiator with strong influencing capabilities Analytical \& Market Insight * Ability to analyze market data, performance trends and competitive landscapes Collaboration * Strong cross-functional coordination and teamwork skills. * Proactive, solution-oriented, and innovation-driven mindset. This position is responsible for overseeing the production of accurate and timely management accounts, supporting the Finance Director with month-end close and reconciliations, and working closely with operational and home management teams. The role will provide commercial insight, challenge, and support to help drive strong financial performance across the business. Key Responsibilities Lead the preparation and review of monthly management accounts, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and clear commentary. Support the Finance Director with month-end close, balance sheet reconciliations, and financial controls. Partner with care home management teams to support understanding of their trading P\&Ls. Respond to financial queries from operational teams, providing clear explanations and timely resolutions. Provide commercial insight and advice to help home managers improve occupancy, control costs, and drive profitability. Analyse financial performance against budgets and forecasts, highlighting risks and opportunities. Analyse KPI’s and ability to pick up trends and investigate differences. Cash flow reporting and analysis Assist with bank covenant submissions Support the annual budgeting and reforecasting process in collaboration with operational leaders. Ensure robust cost control and challenge spend where appropriate while maintaining quality of care. Develop and improve management reporting to support decision-making across the organisation. Act as a key finance business partner to regional and central operational teams. Support audit processes and ensure compliance with internal policies and external requirements. Contribute to the development of the finance function as the organisation continues to grow. Experience \& Knowledge Significant experience in a management accounting role, ideally within the care, healthcare, or wider social care sector. Strong understanding of care home trading P\&Ls, including occupancy, fee income, agency usage, and cost drivers. Experience partnering with non-financial managers and supporting operational decision-making. Experience in a multi-site or growing organisation is highly desirable. Previous responsibility for month-end close and balance sheet reconciliations. Skills \& Competencies Excellent attention to detail and high levels of accuracy. Logical thinker and ability to question and investigate issues. Strong communication skills, with the confidence to liaise with commissioners and internal stakeholders. Good organisational skills and ability to manage competing priorities. Proactive and solution-focused approach. Strong Excel skills and ability to work on various accounting and CRM platforms. Ability to work independently in a hybrid environment while remaining a strong team player. Qualifications Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or qualified by experience.
