The ideal candidate will be a hands-on leader with a strong technical background in the Salesforce ecosystem and a passion for coaching and developing talent. Responsibilities ==================== Team Leadership and Development ----------------------------------- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of Salesforce developers and administrators Conduct regular one-on-one meetings, provide performance feedback, and support the professional growth of each team member. Foster a collaborative, inclusive, and high-trust environment that encourages innovation and technical excellence. Oversee project assignments, manage workloads, and ensure the team has the resources and tools needed to succeed. Champion best practices in development, code quality, and testing to maintain the long-term health of the Salesforce org. Management and Communication -------------------------------- Serve as the primary point of contact for business stakeholders, gathering requirements and translating business needs into technical solutions. Act as a strategic partner, advising stakeholders on the capabilities and limitations of the Salesforce platform to ensure a clear understanding of project scope and timelines. Manage a robust and transparent project intake and prioritization process, balancing stakeholder needs with team capacity, business value and existing engineering capabilities. Communicate project status, key decisions, and potential risks to senior leadership and business partners clearly and concisely. Technical Oversight and Strategy ------------------------------------ Leverage an engineering-first mindset to optimise synergies between Salesforce and existing event driven architectures, identifying and championing blended solutions without sacrificing business value. Drive the technical strategy and roadmap for the Salesforce platform, ensuring it aligns with overall business objectives. Architect and design scalable, robust, and maintainable solutions using a blend of declarative tools and programmatic methods (Apex, LWC, Visualforce). Be a champion for AI augmented development and the responsible leveraging of AI capabilities to expedite designs, increase delivery velocity and improve quality. Maintain a deep understanding of Salesforce best practices, new features, and a high-level awareness of emerging technologies. Ensure the team follows proper change management procedures, including source control, CI/CD pipelines, and deployment processes. Act as an escalation point for complex technical challenges, providing guidance and hands-on support when needed. Multi-Org Management ------------------------- Oversee technical governance and data integrity across multiple Salesforce instances, ensuring consistency and seamless integration where needed. Required Qualifications 5 years experience in Salesforce development 2 years experience of leading projects or managing directs Proven experience in stakeholder management, project prioritization, and technical roadmap development. Strong proficiency in Salesforce platform capabilities, including Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), and platform automation (Flow). Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills. Preferred Qualifications ============================ Applicants who have backgrounds in healthcare and/or Medicare systems will be given preference. Education ============= Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Salesforce certifications are a must, with a preference for a combination of Developer, Administrator, or Architect credentials. Pay Range The typical pay range for this role is: $106,605.00 - $284,280.00 This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the company’s equity award program. Our people fuel our future.
