Our breadth of expertise and capabilities deliver outstanding market returns. #### The role We are seeking a skilled and motivated Reserving Actuary/Analyst with solid insurance market experience and technical capabilities. This role offers hands-on involvement in core reserving processes and regulatory reporting. It presents an exciting opportunity to contribute to the growth of recently launched Lloyd’s operation and gain exposure to the wider actuarial functions of TFP. Joining a growing team led by a Senior Actuary, the Reserving Analyst will work across a broad range of lines of business and collaborate closely with underwriters, pricing actuaries, and CAT modelers across our UK, Ireland, and Bermuda offices. The wider actuarial function operates as a cohesive unit, with the majority of the team based in the City of London, providing ample opportunity to develop cross-functional expertise. #### Key accountabilities Reserving \& Reporting Support the quarterly reserving process, including setting assumptions, calculating reserves, and drafting associated reports and presentations. Contribute to presentations for the quarterly Reserving Committee. Support event reserving and TFP’s Event Response process. Project \& Cross-Functional Work Assist with quarterly capital modelling using rating agency models (e.g., BCAR and AM Best). Contribute to the annual business planning and Syndicate Business Forecast (SBF) process. Help enhance and streamline data processes and structures. Develop analytics dashboards and internal reports to monitor reserving insights and communicate findings across the business. Lines of Business Exposure across all three pillars of the business: Bespoke, Reinsurance, and Specialty. #### Skills \& experience Minimum of 3-5 years (Analyst) / 5+ years (Actuary) of relevant reserving experience. Degree in Mathematics, Science, Economics, or another numerate discipline Strong academic background and analytical mindset. Practical reserving experience in the London or Bermuda markets, including: Setting IELR and development pattern assumptions Large and natural catastrophe loss estimation Method selection, AvE analysis, and variance explanation Documentation and justification of reserve movements Experience drafting reserving-related reports (e.g., reserving committee packs, board reports, actuarial function reports). Proficiency in Excel; VBA or SQL experience is advantageous. Familiarity with analytics tools such as Power BI, Spotfire, or Tableau is a plus. Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities. Strong critical thinking and data interrogation skills. Collaborative team player with the ability to work independently. Able to produce high-quality work to tight deadlines.
