PROJECT MANAGER – WIRELESS HIGH SITE & DATA CENTRE BUILDS, UPGRADES, AND MAINTENANCE

A prestigious turnkey engineering solutions company based in Saxenburg Park, Cape Town seeks to employ an experienced Project Manager to oversee the end\-to\-end delivery of wireless high site and data centre infrastructure projects, including new builds, upgrades, and ongoing maintenance. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical knowledge of telecommunications infrastructure, data centre environments, and wireless technologies, combined with solid project management expertise. **ROLES \& RESPONSIBILITIES:** **PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:** Lead and manage the full project lifecycle for wireless high site and data centre infrastructure projects, from planning and design through execution and handover. Coordinate and manage site surveys, permitting, vendor selection, procurement, and construction activities. Oversee upgrades and maintenance activities, ensuring minimal disruption to service and compliance with industry standard Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, budgets, and resource allocations. Manage cross\-functional teams, including internal staff, contractors, vendors, and consultants. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations on all project sites. Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies to ensure timely and within\-budget delivery. Track and report project progress, including milestones, delays, and change requests to stakeholders. Liaise with network engineering, operations, and IT teams to ensure infrastructure readiness and operational integration. Maintain documentation, including design drawings, as\-builts, commissioning reports, and maintenance logs. Proven experience managing wireless high site and/or data centre infrastructure projects. Strong understanding of telecommunications infrastructure, including towers, microwave links, fibre, and data centre systems (power, cooling, cabling, racks).
