Medical Assistant

We are looking for a Medical Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a medical office setting with knowledge of medical terminology and use of an EMR system. Must be Proficient with EMR, Punctual and dependable, Detail oriented and have strong clinical and/or administrative skills, A team player and professional, and Must be organized with good time management skills. Duties include, but not limited to: * Verify patient information, take health history and record medical history * Room patients, perform and document vital signs * Maintain treatment rooms including stocking and cleaning * Triage phone calls and messages for physicians * Must be able to communicate with patients and family regarding medical care * Accurately order and obtain authorizations for diagnostic testing * Schedule appointments and assist other coworkers as needed * Proficient with medical records Background check and drug testing prior to hiring.
