Locum Clinical Research Physician

We are looking for locum Clinical Research Physicians interesting in working with our clinical team in BDD Pharma based in the ground of Glasgow Royal Infirmary. Shifts will vary from project to project and there is no fixed minimum number of hours a week. **Key responsibilities are as follows:** * Act as a sub\-investigator ensuring ICH/GCP and local regulations are met. * Conduct clinical trials in line with the protocol and ensure quality and credibility of study data is maintained. * Provide information to and obtain informed consent from participants for a clinical study. * Review inclusion and exclusion criteria and ensure recruitment of eligible participants onto the studies. * Perform and interpret clinical examination and investigations of participants. * Assess adverse events. * Provide medical care and oversight of wellbeing of participants during the clinical trial and refer to specialists or GP as required. * Ensure good documentation practice is followed at all times * Engage with compulsory training opportunities This is a busy clinical trial unit with multiple healthy volunteer Proof of Concept and Phase I\-II clinical trials running at any one time. Our clients come to us to help with challenging projects to treat real medical needs across a range of therapeutic areas which brings variety and interest to the role. **The following skills and experience are required:** Essential * MBChB or equivalent medical degree * GMC registration with valid licence to practise * Minimum of 2 years clinical experience post qualification * Active engagement in appraisal and revalidation activities as per GMC requirements * Core practical skills including but not exclusive to venepuncture and cannulation, * ILS or ALS certification Desirable * Minimum of 4 years clinical experience post qualification * Experience of working within clinical research * Working knowledge of GCP and valid GCP certificate Job Types: Temporary, Freelance Pay: £50\.00 per hour Licence/Certification: * ILS or ALS certification (required) Work authorisation: * United Kingdom (required) Work Location: In person
