An established multi speciality hospital operating with a 100 bed capacity, currently in an expansion phase to scale up to 250 beds

Role Purpose
The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) is responsible for defining, shaping, and driving the overall direction of the hospital as a healthcare institution and as a business.
This role exists to set trajectory, not manage tasks.
The hospital is fully functional with all key departments operational. Additional leadership or structural enhancements required to scale or elevate performance can be built and/or strengthened as required. The hospital will have clinical leadership, operations incharge , and administrative teams in place.

Key Accountabilities
1\. Strategic Leadership \& Direction
Define and execute the short\-, medium\-, and long\-term strategy of the hospital
Develop a clear roadmap from launch to scale, including service mix, specialties, and future expansion
Continuously assess external trends in healthcare, regulation, and competition to keep the institution future\-ready
Translate vision into measurable strategic priorities across the organisation
2\. Institutional \& Business Growth
Own the overall performance and sustainability of the hospital
Drive growth through strategic service development, partnerships, and positioning
Ensure alignment between clinical excellence, patient experience, and financial outcomes
Make capital allocation and investment decisions with long\-term institutional value in mind
3\. Leadership, Culture \& Alignment
Lead and align senior leadership including operations, clinical, finance, and administration
Build a culture of accountability, professionalism, and performance
Ensure leadership teams operate cohesively rather than in silos
Attract, retain, and develop senior talent capable of scaling the institution
4\. Governance, Risk \& Compliance
Act as the primary interface between the Board and management
Ensure strong governance, ethical standards, and regulatory compliance
Identify and mitigate strategic, financial, and reputational risks
Establish decision\-making frameworks rather than ad\-hoc interventions
5\. Market Positioning \& External Leadership
Serve as the public and institutional face of the hospital
Build credibility with doctors, regulators, insurers, corporates, and the wider healthcare ecosystem
Shape the hospital’s reputation as a trusted, modern healthcare institution
Drive partnerships and alliances that strengthen long\-term positioning

Day\-to\-day operational firefighting

A purely clinical or administrative position

\*Is comfortable with ambiguity, authority, and accountability
\*Understands healthcare as both a service mission and a business system
This role is not suitable for candidates whose experience is limited to functional or departmental leadership alone.
Qualification \& Experience
Qualification
MBA / MHA / Equivalent senior management qualification
Clinical background is not mandatory, but healthcare leadership exposure is essential
Experience
\*10\+ years in healthcare or hospital leadership roles
\*Prior experience as CEO, COO, or equivalent senior leadership strongly preferred
\*Experience with hospital launch, expansion, or transformation is a major advantage
Compensation
\*Compensation will be competitive and aligned with senior leadership expectations
\*Salary is not a constraint for the right candidate
