Senior Backend Engineer **Location:** Berlin (Hybrid) **Salary:** Up to €100,000 \+ Benefits We’re partnered with a rapidly scaling entertainment technology business building one of Europe’s most widely used consumer platforms in the streaming and digital content space. As they continue expanding internationally, they’re looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to help scale backend systems, improve platform performance, and contribute to architectural decisions across a high\-volume product environment. **They are especially interested in profiles with:** * **Founding Engineer or founding experience** * **Strong business mindset and entrepreneurial mentality** * **Builders who have launched products or meaningful side projects** The Role * Build and scale backend services used by millions of users * Contribute to system design and architecture discussions * Develop reliable, performant, production\-grade code * Work closely with Product, Frontend, Mobile, and Data teams * Improve system observability, monitoring, and reliability * Help shape engineering best practices across the platform Experience They’re Looking For * Strong backend engineering experience with Golang, Python, or Node.js * Experience building APIs and distributed systems * Cloud infrastructure exposure (ideally GCP) * Knowledge of scalable system design principles * Experience with SQL and/or NoSQL databases * Familiarity with CI/CD and modern engineering tooling Why Join? * Product\-focused engineering culture * Complex technical challenges at genuine scale * Strong autonomy and ownership * Fast\-moving, entrepreneurial environment * Hybrid Berlin setup with an international team
