Software Engineer

**Software Engineer (m/f/d) Java / Microservices / Document Management / 100% / Zurich** **Project:** We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to further develop and operate a modern document management platform within the context of sales and customer processes. The focus is on backend development with Java and Spring Boot in a microservices architecture, including design, implementation, testing, deployment, and operational support. Working closely with business engineering and specialist departments, requirements are analyzed and implemented to continuously improve document processes, integrations, and the platform. Furthermore, this role actively contributes to architectural topics, API design, and the further development of the overall platform within an agile DevOps environment. **Tasks:** * Development and operation of microservices (Java / Spring Boot) for the document management platform * Further development of existing services including design, architecture and performance optimizations * Contributing to API designs and integration solutions * Close collaboration with business engineering, specialist departments and stakeholders * Support in the analysis and optimization of document processes and interfaces * Ensuring code quality, maintainability, stability, and security standards * Contributing to code reviews, refactoring, and test automation **Can\-do tasks:** * Integration and adaptation of standard software into existing system landscapes * Evaluation of new technologies and tools for platform optimization * Participation in cross\-departmental projects and initiatives **Requirements:** * Several years of experience (approx. 5\-8 years) as a Software Engineer / Fullstack Developer with a focus on Java / Spring Boot * Experience in the development of microservices or service\-oriented architectures * Knowledge of REST APIs and data formats such as JSON and XML * Experience with clean code, design patterns, testing, and CI/CD practices * Experience with relational databases (e.g., Oracle, PostgreSQL) and JPA/Hibernate * Basic understanding of software security (e.g., secure authentication and OWASP basics) * Experience in agile teams (Scrum or Kanban) and interdisciplinary collaboration * Good analytical and structured approach to working * with Angular/TypeScript for frontend topics * Kubernetes or other container/orchestration platforms * DevOps practices (monitoring, logging, automation, CI/CD) * Linux environments (shell, permissions, operation) **Languages:** * German: B2 level at least * English: B2 **Reference number: 924995MH** **Role: Software Engineer / Developer (m/f/d)** **Region: Zurich and surrounding area** **Workload: 100% (Hybrid only within Switzerland)** **Start date: June 15, 2026 End date: June 30, 2027**
