FINANCIAL MANAGER – INDUSTRIAL MANUFACTURING

**Financial Leadership \& Business Partnership** * Provide **clear, accurate, and timely financial insight** to guide profitability, cost control, pricing, and capital allocation. * Demonstrate strong **ownership, initiative, and accountability** for the financial health of the business. **Cost Accounting \& Manufacturing Finance** * Lead and own the **cost accounting function** within a manufacturing environment. * Develop, maintain, and continuously improve **costing models** for products, processes, and jobs (standard costing, actual costing, variance analysis). * Establish and manage **cost centres** across manufacturing operations Work closely with operations and production teams to **understand real shop\-floor drivers of cost** and performance **Financial Reporting \& Management Information** * Prepare and present **monthly management accounts**, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and relevance for decision\-makers. * Deliver meaningful **management reporting** Ensure strong financial controls, reconciliations, and audit readiness **Budgeting, Forecasting \& Planning** * Lead the **annual budgeting process**, aligned with operational and strategic objectives. * Prepare rolling **forecasts** reflecting production volumes, cost behaviour, and market conditions. * Monitor performance against budget and forecast, providing early warnings and corrective actions. Support capital expenditure planning, ROI analysis, and investment decision\-making **Systems, Processes \& Continuous Improvement** * Support system enhancements and data discipline across the business. **Compliance, Governance \& Controls** * Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, tax regulations, and statutory requirements. * Maintain strong internal controls and financial governance. * Support audits and statutory reporting as required **Leadership, Drive \& Professional Conduct**. **Essential Background \& Capability** * Proven experience as a **Financial Manager or senior finance role within a manufacturing or industrial environment**. * Strong, hands\-on capability in **cost accounting and cost centre management**. * Demonstrated experience reporting to **senior and executive management**. * Solid understanding of manufacturing operations and industrial cost drivers.
