Scientist

Our client, a pharmaceutical company, is looking for a Scientist to join their team! This will be a onsite role working out of their office in Ridgefield, Connecticut. The successful candidate will have a Master’s or PhD, with experience in tissue processing, embedding, and staining. **Role Overview:** * Contract Role: 12 months * Pay: $40\.04/hr on W2 **Responsibilities:** * Execute high\-quality tissue processing and embedding using both paraffin and frozen section techniques to ensure consistency. * Perform specialized staining methods, including histology, immunohistochemistry (IHC), and immunofluorescence (IF), to support research and imaging goals. * Troubleshoot and refine laboratory protocols to ensure reproducible, high\-quality results while maintaining strict compliance and detailed documentation. * Partner with researchers to design experiments, analyze data, and interpret findings. **Required Qualifications:** * Master’s or PhD in biology, biomedical sciences, or a related field is expected, though a Bachelor’s degree with significant relevant experience will be considered.. * 3–5 years of hands\-on experience in tissue processing, embedding, and staining within a research or clinical laboratory setting. * Proficient in histological techniques (paraffin and cryosectioning) and specialized staining methods, including immunohistochemistry (IHC) and immunofluorescence (IF). * Prior experience with skin or ocular tissues, HPLC, and 3D printing is highly preferred, alongside the ability to troubleshoot and optimize protocols. * Strong attention to detail for data analysis, coupled with excellent time\-management, multitasking, and laboratory safety/compliance standard maintenance. * Excellent written and verbal communication skills required to document procedures and work effectively both independently and within a collaborative team. **The Solomon Page Distinction** Solomon Page offers a comprehensive benefit program for hourly employees.
