Our client, a rapidly growing innovator in the Crypto & Blockchain space, is seeking a highly skilled and security-focused Blockchain Security Engineer to join their fully remote team. This role is critical in ensuring the integrity, security, and robustness of our client's blockchain platforms, smart contracts, and decentralized applications (dApps). You will be at the forefront of identifying and mitigating potential vulnerabilities, developing secure coding practices, and implementing cutting-edge security solutions within the blockchain ecosystem.
Responsibilities: Conduct thorough security audits and code reviews for smart contracts (Solidity, etc.) and blockchain protocols. Identify, analyze, and remediate security vulnerabilities and potential threats across all blockchain-related infrastructure. Develop and implement security best practices for smart contract development and deployment. Design and implement security tools and frameworks for continuous monitoring and threat detection. Stay current with the latest security threats, attack vectors, and mitigation techniques in the blockchain and cryptocurrency landscape. Collaborate with development teams to integrate security considerations throughout the software development lifecycle. Contribute to the design and architecture of secure decentralized systems. Develop incident response plans and lead the response to security breaches. Educate internal teams on blockchain security principles and secure coding standards. Research and evaluate new security technologies relevant to the blockchain domain.
Qualifications: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field. Minimum of 5 years of experience in software engineering, with at least 2 years focused specifically on blockchain security. Deep understanding of blockchain technologies, consensus mechanisms, and smart contract development (e.g., Solidity, Rust, Go). Proven experience in identifying and mitigating common smart contract vulnerabilities (e.g., reentrancy, integer overflows). Proficiency in security analysis tools and techniques. Experience with penetration testing and vulnerability assessment. Strong understanding of cryptography principles and their application in blockchain. Excellent programming skills in languages relevant to blockchain development and security analysis. Ability to work independently and proactively in a remote, fast-paced environment. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a meticulous attention to detail. Excellent communication skills, able to articulate complex security concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
