About the role

**Job Overview** We are seeking a highly organised and professional Clinical Administrator/Medical Secretary to support our healthcare team. This role involves managing administrative tasks within a clinical setting, ensuring smooth day\-to\-day operations, and providing exceptional support to medical practitioners and patients. The ideal candidate will possess strong office and administrative experience, with a keen eye for detail and excellent communication skills. This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic healthcare environment where attention to confidentiality and efficiency is paramount. * Manage the medical secretary and clinical administration for the surgery * Liaise with patients on all matters relating to the arrangement and organisation of appointments, referrals, correspondence, follow up * Oversee the process of review and accurate editing of externally transcribed letters. * Manage the IGDPR and insurance report process. * Registration of patients * Check and process paperwork for new patients * Carry out electronic registration links daily and as required * Prepare record folders on registration and file historical medical records on receipt * Summarise previous medical history and enter information on computer record * Process paperwork for patients deregistering from the practice. * Updating patient records * Workflow of scanned documents * Scanning incoming paperwork * File to the patient record, apply the appropriate code, and forward to the relevant clinician to respond **Experience** * Prior experience is essential; with GP healthcare or medical environments * Administrative experience demonstrating organisational skills and attention to detail * Proficiency in using office software such as Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and the NHS Clinical System EMIS WEB * Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively * Strong written and verbal communication skills in British English * Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information discreetly The successful candidate will be integral to delivering high\-quality patient care through efficient administrative support.
