REPORTS TO: Chief Operations Officer SALARY: $90,000\-$120,000 JOB SUMMARY Under administrative direction, the Director of Behavioral Health Recovery and Care Services provides direction, leadership, and supervision for all aspects of specialized programs and services in assigned Enclaves to ensure high\-quality and reliable care. Utilizing established systems this role directs therapeutic, behavioral and recovery care services and staff; ensures safety of staff and residents; and supports implementation of policies, procedures, and protocols. Requiring independent judgment in the organization, supervision, and evaluation of individual and group services, the Director of Behavioral Health Recovery and Care Services assigns and monitors specific staff duties and performance. The Director of Behavioral Health \& recovery Services models Ever Well’s mission and sets the expectations for staff to resident, staff to staff, and resident to resident relationships. The role is expected to promote a therapeutic healing Enclave atmosphere, where residents and staff are treated with understanding, patience, and dignity always. The span of control for this position is at service line level requiring successful management of day\-to\-day activities, monthly reporting, and quarterly metrics being met. The Director of Behavioral Health \& Recovery Services collaborates with other service line directors and senior managers to ensure Ever Well’s clinical services promote the overall best welfare, health, and wellness of our residents, employees, and key stakeholders. SUMMARY OF DUTIES AND RESPONSABILITIES: “What You Will Do” * Participate in the recruiting and management of Behavioral Health Program and Therapeutic Activities Managers. * Monitor planned activity and service delivery success according to stated key performance indicators (KPIs) using established data collection Systems. Reporting monthly at meetings and prepare summary reports for timely review. * Oversee the Behavior Health and Recovery Service, supervising the day\-to\-day functions of Behavioral Health and Therapeutic Activities Program managers and Coordinators, and other behavioral and therapeutic staff. * Preserve an employee\-oriented company culture that emphasizes innovation, patient care quality, continuous improvement, and high performance. * Provide leadership and actively manage weekly consultation and coordination of individualized behavioral health supports across the Enclave to facilitate resident progress and recovery. * Plan, organize, supervise, and evaluate resident participation and satisfaction. Ensure assigned staff encourage residents’ participation in planned activities and services according to their interest and abilities. * Ensure completion of all state required and Ever Well agency mandated training of service line personnel. * Represent the Behavioral Health \& Recovery Service line in senior level management meetings and ad hoc internal committees related to development, scheduling, implementation and monitoring of services, programs and projects that cross multiple service lines throughout the agency and its affiliates. * Engage therapeutic, recovery and behavioral services staff to develop within their current scope of practice and proactively encourage staff to develop within their current scope of practice and proactively encourage staff in pursuit of professional development opportunities. * Coordinate and provide in\-service training consistent with Ever Well curriculum, agency standards, practices, and policies to therapeutic, recovery and behavioral health services staff and interns. * Work in collaboration with other service line directors to ensure all staff follow company policies and procedures and always remain in compliance with CCL regulation and standards. * Seek consultation as needed related to substantive program approaches and clinical information. * Use program outcomes, KPIs and appropriate consultation to support residential, therapeutic, recovery, behavioral and medication staff. * Oversee the Needs and Service (NSP) process using established system. * Participate in studies of new and existing projects to determine feasibility, anticipate/resolve problems to increase efficiency, and create revenue opportunities. * Participate in development of the annual Residential service line budget, including analysis and estimates of expenditures and revenue. * Use established Ever Well systems to coordinate and communicate regarding resident care with facility staff, resident case managers, conservator, family members, etc. as appropriate. * Provide direct care services as needed within their established scope of practice and in conjunction with appropriate span of control. * Understand and perform duties as a mandated abuse reported * Performs other duties as assigned. REQUIREMENTS – EDUCATION \& SKILLS * Master’s degree in social work, healthcare administration is strongly preferred. * Bachelor’s degree in social work, sociology, psychology, or a closely related field that would qualify them as a Mental Health Rehabilitation Specialist (MHRS). * Certification in psychiatric, social, nursing, or recovery service desired. * Prior experience of at least 5 years in a mental health setting, of which 2 years should be in a 24\-hour residential care setting. * Minimum of 2 years supervisory experience in health care field, 4 years preferred. REQUIRED – ABILITIES \& ATTRIBUTES * Strong leader with excellent communication skills * Ability to read and understand documents, write simple memos, reports and letters, speak effectively with residents, customers, or other employees * Ability to engage and communicate with residents in an empathetic manner * Ability to work effectively with persons differing in value systems, ethnicity, cultural backgrounds, language capabilities, and disabilities * Ability to follow directions and work within a program, and systems structure * Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized, and emergency situations * Exercise good judgement and acts calmly in emergency situations * High emotional and collective awareness * Great sense of humor, and values humility REQUIRED – CERTIFICATIONS \& LICENSES * Current registration with the Board of Behavioral Sciences as an ACSW, AMFT, APCC, MSW, LMFT is preferred. * Valid California Driver’s License * Current First Aid Certificate * Must be able to provide proof of eligibility to work legally in the United States REQUIREMENTS – PHYSICAL * Walking, Sitting, Pinching and Finger Flexion, and Visual/Auditory Acuity are required to constantly (over 2/3 of the workday) * Lifting, Carrying, Pushing, Pulling, Bending, Stooping, Crouching, Kneeling and Twisting are required occasionally (under 1/3 of the workday) * Balancing, Climbing, Crawling are generally not required * Ability to Pass an Employment Physical * Current TB Test (No negative results within the last 12 months) REQUIREMENTS – EQUIPMENT * Fax machine * Multi\-line phone * PC Computer, tablet * Dolly **Must be able to meet and receive a criminal records clearance as required by Title XXII, licensing regulations.
