Rather than layering AI onto decades\-old software, this team is building from scratch. Their platform combines modern workflows, structured data, real\-time operations, and agentic AI to help defense manufacturers operate more efficiently, identify risks faster, and accelerate delivery of mission\-critical hardware. This is a rare opportunity to join early, help define the product experience, and have meaningful influence on both the platform and the company as it scales. **The Role** This is a front\-end first engineering role. The team is specifically looking for engineers who care deeply about product experience, design quality, and building software that users genuinely enjoy interacting with. They want builders who can take a concept, wireframe, or Figma mockup and turn it into a polished, production\-ready experience. You'll work directly with leadership, product, and engineering to help define how users interact with AI\-powered workflows, operational dashboards, structured data systems, and next\-generation enterprise software. This is not a role for someone who primarily identifies as a backend or infrastructure engineer. The ideal candidate genuinely enjoys frontend development and wants to help shape both the product and the user experience. **What You'll Work On** * Build modern, responsive user interfaces using React, TypeScript, and Next.js * Translate product concepts and Figma designs into polished production experiences * Design workflows that help users interact with AI\-powered systems and operational data * Develop dashboards, agentic AI interfaces, and real\-time operational experiences * Collaborate closely with product, design, and engineering teams * Help shape frontend architecture, component systems, and engineering standards * Participate in product discussions and influence what gets built, not just how it's built * Contribute to a rapidly evolving platform as the company scales **What They're Looking For** * 3\-6 years of frontend engineering experience * Strong React and TypeScript experience * Experience building production applications with modern frontend frameworks * Experience translating Figma designs into polished user experiences * Strong understanding of responsive design, frontend architecture, and UI development best practices * Product\-minded approach and ability to contribute to feature design and prioritization * Ability to thrive in a small, highly autonomous engineering team * Strong communication and collaboration skills **Strongly Preferred** * Next.js experience * GraphQL experience * Python and/or FastAPI experience * Experience with frontend testing, validation, and safe deployment practices * Experience building enterprise SaaS, ERP, fintech, defense tech, or AI\-native products * Experience working in startup environments with significant ownership and autonomy * Experience building real\-time dashboards, workflow systems, or operational software **Who This Role Is For** This role is ideal for engineers who want to help build a category\-defining product from the ground floor, work closely with founders and product leaders, and have a meaningful voice in both product and technical decisions.
