Remote Senior Blockchain Engineer

Our client, a pioneering force in the decentralized finance (DeFi) and blockchain space, is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Blockchain Engineer to join their innovative, fully remote team. This role is critical in designing, developing, and deploying cutting-edge blockchain solutions and decentralized applications (dApps). You will work with a talented group of engineers, cryptographers, and product managers to push the boundaries of blockchain technology. The ideal candidate possesses a deep understanding of blockchain protocols, smart contract development, cryptography, and distributed systems. You will be instrumental in architecting secure, scalable, and efficient blockchain infrastructure. Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, and implement secure and efficient smart contracts on various blockchain platforms (e.g., Ethereum, Solana, Polygon). Develop and maintain decentralized applications (dApps) and associated backend services. Architect and build robust blockchain infrastructure, including nodes, networks, and consensus mechanisms. Collaborate with product managers and designers to define and implement new blockchain features. Write clean, well-documented, and thoroughly tested code. Optimize blockchain protocols and smart contracts for performance, scalability, and security. Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members. Stay abreast of the latest developments in blockchain technology, cryptography, and decentralized systems. Identify and mitigate security vulnerabilities in blockchain applications and infrastructure. Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to blockchain networks and dApps. Contribute to the technical roadmap and strategy for the company's blockchain initiatives. Qualifications: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Minimum of 5 years of experience in software development, with at least 3 years focused on blockchain technology. Proficiency in smart contract development languages such as Solidity. Experience with one or more blockchain protocols (e.g., Ethereum, Bitcoin, Solana, Polkadot). Strong understanding of cryptography, distributed systems, and consensus algorithms. Familiarity with Web3 technologies and libraries (e.g., Ethers.js, Web3.js). Experience with performance optimization and security best practices for blockchain applications. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in a remote environment. Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly. Experience with unit testing, integration testing, and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
