Medical Assistant PRN (as needed)

Job description: We are seeking a dedicated and detail\-oriented **PRN (as needed) Medical Assistant** to support the daily clinical and administrative operations of our Urgent Care center. In this role, you will help ensure a smooth patient experience by delivering high\-quality care and maintaining efficient workflows in a fast\-paced environment. **Key responsibilities but not limited to:** * Greet patients, conduct intake interviews, and accurately record medical histories * Manage patient check\-in and check\-out processes * Schedule appointments and coordinate follow\-up visits * Maintain, update, and organize medical records and insurance documentation * Assist healthcare providers during examinations and procedures * Perform phlebotomy and administer medications and immunizations as directed * Prepare exam rooms and ensure medical equipment is properly cleaned and stocked * Coordinate laboratory services and hospital admissions when necessary * Handle billing\-related tasks, including accounts receivable and payable * Prepare and distribute medical correspondence, forms, and reports **Qualifications \& Skills:** * Previous experience as a Medical Assistant in a clinical setting * Proficiency in phlebotomy and administering injections/vaccines * Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems and clinical documentation standards * Strong organizational and time\-management skills with the ability to multitask * Excellent interpersonal skills with a patient\-focused approach * Clear written and verbal communication abilities * Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and medical practice management software Pay: $17\.00 \- $19\.00 per hour Work Location: In person
