Outpatient Exercise Physiologist PRN - Cardiac Rehab

Inova Mt Vernon Hospital \- Outpatient Rehab Therapy is looking for a dedicated Exercise Physiologist to join the team. This role is a PRN position. *Inova is consistently ranked a national healthcare leader in safety, quality and patient experience.* *We are also proud to be consistently recognized as a top employer in both the D.C. metro area and the nation.* **Featured Benefits:** * **Committed to Team Member Health:** offering medical, dental and vision coverage, and a robust team member wellness program. * **Retirement:** Inova matches the first 5% of eligible contributions – starting on your first day. * **Tuition and Student Loan Assistance:** offering up to $5,250 per year in education assistance and up to $10,000 for student loans. * **Mental Health Support:** offering all Inova team members, their spouses/partners, and their children 25 mental health coaching or therapy sessions, per person, per year, at no cost. **Exercise Physiologist Job Responsibilities:** * Develops exercise prescription and risk factor modification by incorporating comorbidities and musculoskeletal disorders, per established program (ACCVPR, ACSM, ATS, ACC, NASM) standards and guidelines, as evidenced by random chart review. * Reviews and develops Individual Treatment Plans. * Develops exercise and strength training programs, patient education, and behavioral health support specific to each patient to achieve optimal outcomes. * Demonstrates proper instruction and technique for performing appropriate exercise and strength training as needed to ensure patient safety and adherence to exercise prescription, as evidenced by direct observation. * Immediately reports significant changes in patient clinical status to appropriate members of the healthcare team and assists with emergency care according to department policy, as evidenced by direct observation. **Minimum Qualifications:** * **Education:** Bachelor's Degree in Exercise Physiology, Exercise Science, or Kinesiology. * **Licensure:** American College of Sports Medicine \- Certified Exercise Physiologist (ACSM CEP) required upon start for Cardiac or Pulmonary Rehab Programs. Or Certified Cardiac Rehabilitation Professional (AACVPR CCRP) * **Experience** : 0 years of experience * **Certification:** BLS from the American Heart Association.
