Financial Manager

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES * Lead the financial strategy aligned to retail sales, margin, and growth objectives. * Oversee monthly management accounts, budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis. * Monitor store\-level profitability, sales performance, and cost structures. * Manage cash flow, working capital, and inventory funding. * Oversee inventory controls, stock turn, shrinkage, and aged stock. * Ensure effective cost control across rent, labour, utilities, logistics, and overheads. * Prepare annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS. * Prepare and maintain complete audit files and supporting schedules. * Manage the annual external audit process and liaise with auditors. * Ensure audit readiness throughout the year and timely resolution of audit queries. * Maintain compliance with IFRS, Companies Act, SARS, VAT, and PAYE requirements. * Manage relationships with banks, auditors, landlords, and tax advisors. * Oversee financial systems including POS, accounting, and reporting platforms. * Provide financial insights and reports to the CEO and Board. KEY RETAIL KPIs * Gross profit % by store/category * Cash flow and liquidity * Stock turnover and shrinkage * Labour cost as % of turnover * Store operating margin MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Qualifications: * CA(SA), CIMA, ACCA, or equivalent financial qualification Experience: * Minimum 3 years’ experience in a Senior Finance Management role * Proven experience in a retail or multi\-store environment * Hands\-on experience preparing annual financial statements and audit files * Proven experience managing external audits end\-to\-end Skills \& Competencies: * Strong commercial and analytical skills * Solid understanding of retail accounting, IFRS, and VAT * Advanced Excel skills; experience with financial systems and POS data * Strong audit, controls, and documentation discipline * Strong leadership and communication skills * High attention to detail and ability to work under pressure Job Type: Full\-time Pay: R25 000,00 \- R35 000,00 per month Work Location: In person
