We are proud of our Company values and look for candidates who can demonstrate their ability to align with these: * **Respect;** * **Teamwork;** * **Worth Ethic;** * **Conscientiousness; and** * **Commercial Vision.** Our Pershore office specialises in business accounting and is looking to recruit a Senior Accountant to join the team. **The role** The role is full\-time and based in our Pershore Office, with occasional travel to our offices in Twyning, Ledbury and Cheltenham, as well as travel to clients. We would consider applicants wishing to work 5 days per week but shorter hours (such as 9am to 3pm). You will be responsible for providing a high level of service to our business clients, ensuring compliance work is completed both accurately and efficiently and supporting the wider team with advisory assignments. Ideally, we are looking for someone with experience of working in an accountancy practice who has recent experience in working with a range of owner managers and their associated businesses, although we are willing to consider candidates with transferable skills or experience. The role offers excellent opportunities for progression for ambitious candidates. **Key Responsibilities:** * Prepare accounts for small limited companies, partnerships and sole traders, adhering to relevant accounting standards. * Prepare personal and business tax returns, including corporation tax and VAT, ensuring accurate calculation of tax liabilities and timely submissions. * Prepare monthly or quarterly management accounts and provide training and guidance to clients to improve their own finance functions. * Managing own day\-to\-day workflow, ensuring deadlines and budgets are met. * Review the work of junior colleagues and offer day\-to\-day support to them. * Build and maintain strong client relationships, addressing queries and corresponding in a professional manner at all times. * Stay updated on changes in tax legislation and accounting standards to ensure compliance and accurate advice. * Identify and suggest enhancements to processes, contributing to the development of best practices. **Requirements:** * Qualified accountant (Part qualified finalists considered) * Previous experience in a similar role within a practice. * Proficiency in accounting software and tax preparation tools (Xero essential, IRIS desirable). * Strong accuracy and attention to detail in all tasks. * Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey information. * Strong organisational and time\-management abilities, with experience managing own tasks and deadlines effectively. * Proven ability to build and maintain client relationships, emphasising exceptional service delivery. **Salary:** £32,000 to £40,000 (depending on experience/qualifications) **Other Benefits:** * Early finish on a Friday. * 20 days holiday entitlement plus the opportunity to buy an additional 5 days annual leave each year. * Generous pension contributions. * Group life assurance (x4 salary). * Birthday day off (after 12 months service). * Birthday lunch. * Regular social events including Christmas and Summer party. * Monthly ‘posh’ coffee runs. * Fruit bowls. * Generous CPD/training allowances. * Professional subscription funded. **Application** To apply, please e\-mail your CV and a **covering letter** explaining why you would like to join our business accounts team, to **hr@crowthers.co.uk** Job Types: Full\-time, Permanent Pay: £32,000\.00\-£40,000\.00 per year Benefits: * Additional leave * Company pension * Free parking * Life insurance * On\-site parking * Sick pay Ability to commute/relocate: * Pershore WR10 1AA: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required) Application question(s): * We do not offer remote or hybrid working.
