We are committed to patient\-centered care and utilize innovative, evidence\-based procedures to support recovery and long\-term wellness across our clinics and ambulatory surgery center (ASC). **\** We are seeking an experienced Scrub Tech / Procedure Tech to join our Tucson\-based Ambulatory Surgery Center specializing in interventional pain management procedures (e.g., epidural steroid injections, facet joint injections, medial branch blocks, radiofrequency ablations, spinal cord stimulator trials/implants, and other minimally invasive chronic pain interventions). The ideal candidate will function as the scrub person during procedures, maintaining a sterile field, anticipating physician needs, and ensuring efficient, safe care in a high\-volume outpatient environment. This role emphasizes precise instrument handling, rapid room turnover, and collaboration with pain physicians, anesthesiologists, circulating RNs, and support staff. **Key Responsibilities** * Scrub into pain management procedures: set up sterile fields, arrange instruments, supplies, and specialized equipment (e.g., needles, catheters, RF probes, stimulator leads, fluoroscopy\-compatible trays). * Anticipate proceduralist needs by passing instruments, supplies, and medications efficiently during fluoroscopy\-guided interventions. * Maintain strict aseptic technique, sterile field integrity, and infection control standards throughout procedures. * Perform surgical counts (instruments, sponges, sharps) pre\- and post\-procedure to ensure patient safety. * Prepare procedure rooms: check and organize supplies, verify equipment functionality (C\-arm integration, RF generators, injection systems), and assist with patient positioning/prepping as directed. * Assist with post\-procedure cleanup, instrument processing, and room turnover to support high daily case volumes. * Collaborate closely with the circulating RN to facilitate smooth handoffs and procedural flow. * Document relevant intraoperative details (e.g., implants used, counts) in compliance with ASC policies, AAAHC/CMS standards, and Arizona regulations. * Participate in quality assurance, inventory management, and emergency preparedness for sedation\-related or procedural complications. * Stay current on pain management\-specific techniques, equipment, and best practices in an outpatient setting. **Required Qualifications** * Current certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) preferred; or equivalent training/experience as a scrub/procedure tech in an ASC. * BLS certification required. * Minimum 1–2 years of experience scrubbing in an Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) preferred. * Demonstrated experience scrubbing for interventional pain management procedures (e.g., spine injections, nerve blocks, ablations, neuromodulation implants) or similar minimally invasive cases. * Strong knowledge of aseptic technique, instrument sterilization/processing, and OR/procedure room safety protocols in outpatient environments. * Excellent attention to detail, dexterity, and ability to anticipate needs in a fast\-paced setting. * Ability to work collaboratively in a small, team\-oriented ASC with high case throughput. **Preferred Qualifications** * Familiarity with fluoroscopy\-guided pain procedures and equipment (C\-arm, contrast handling, RF systems). * Experience with pain\-specific implants (e.g., spinal cord stimulator components) and neuromodulation trials. * Knowledge of ASC regulatory standards (AAAHC, Joint Commission, Arizona\-specific).
