Medical Assistant (Part\-Time, with Potential for Full\-Time) **Genesis Orthopaedic and Spine** Locations: Westfield, Morristown, West Orange, Ridgewood, and Middletown, NJ About Us Genesis Orthopaedic and Spine is a growing, multi\-specialty orthopedic and spine practice with multiple locations throughout New Jersey. As our practice continues to expand, we are seeking a **Part\-Time Medical Assistant**, with the **potential to transition to Full\-Time in the future based on practice needs**. New graduates are welcome to apply. Prior experience in an orthopedic or sports medicine setting is preferred but not required. Position Summary The Medical Assistant will support our physicians and clinical staff in a fast\-paced outpatient setting. This role requires flexibility, a positive attitude, and the ability to work across **all practice locations as needed by the employer**. The selected candidate will also be **cross\-trained to assist with front desk operations**, including patient scheduling and check\-in/check\-out duties. Key Responsibilities **Clinical Duties** * Accurately obtain and record vital signs * Enter and update patient information in the EMR system * Assist physicians and providers during patient visits as needed * Support clinical team members to ensure efficient patient flow **Front Desk \& Administrative Duties (Cross\-Trained)** * Check patients in and out * Schedule and reschedule patient appointments * Answer incoming phone calls and assist patients professionally * Collect, post, and process patient payments * Provide clerical support to medical and administrative staff as needed Requirements * Certified or Registered Medical Assistant (or eligibility) in the State of New Jersey * Ability and willingness to travel between **all office locations** as required * Strong communication and organizational skills * Team\-oriented mindset with the ability to work under the direction of physicians and management * Professional, patient\-focused demeanor What We Offer * Part\-time position with opportunity for increased hours/full\-time status in the future * Competitive compensation * Supportive team environment * Opportunities for growth within a rapidly expanding practice Job Type: Part\-time Pay: $16\.00 \- $20\.00 per hour Expected hours: 24 – 32 per week Benefits: * 401(k) * 401(k) matching * Flexible schedule * Retirement plan Education: * Associate (Required) Work Location: In person
