Medical Assistant for Functional Medicine Practice

We are an established comprehensive Medical service spa offering an array of wellness services and products including HRT, IV Therapy, Sexual Health, Metabolic/Weight Loss, Sports Medicine, Aesthetics, Injectables and other related services along with non\-invasive procedures. Our staff members work as a team supporting each other in order to deliver precision protocols, helping our patients achieve beauty, health, wellness and longevity. Description Works under the clinical supervision of the practice physician and nurse practitioner. Reports to office manager and is responsible for assisting in patient care and documentation. Daily task may consist of welcoming and preparing patients for in office consultations, taking vitals, documenting prescribed treatment plans and documenting outcomes, recording SOAP notes in practice management system, taking dictation, drawing and collecting blood samples, preparing and administrating IV’s, injecting patients, educating patients in different forms of administration. Licenses/Certifications: (one or more of the following modalities) Emergency Medical Tech Medical Assistant Phlebotomy Basic Life Support Certified Nursing Assistant Additional Qualifications: * Must have an active license or willing to obtain one during the probationary period. * Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program or similar * Minimum required experience of 1 year in a wellness / med spa environment * Understands the basics of HRT, TRT, Peptide Therapy, Biochemistry and Compound Pharmaceuticals/Neutraceuticals * Professional, organized, detail\-oriented, team player, problem solver, customer service, puts patients needs first, able to work in a fast\-paced environment and can meet deadlines. * Communicates effectively with patients, physicians, pharmacists, nurses, other co\-workers. * Bilingual preferred (English and Spanish). Portuguese a plus but not required. * Willing to participate in continuing educational programs in the field of Functional Medicine. * Experience in practice management software (OptiMantra a big plus) * Lives a healthy lifestyle while exuding professional confidence and optimism when dealing with patients and team members. * HIPPA/OSHA compliant. * Flexible with schedule Pay: From $16\.00 per hour Work Location: In person
