We are looking for a Locum Physiotherapist to join our network on an ad-hoc basis, providing professional and compassionate care when additional clinical support is required. About the Role As a Locum Physiotherapist, you will assist patients in rehabilitating physical conditions caused by illness, injury, disability, or aging. You’ll work within a multidisciplinary team—including doctors, biokineticists, and admin staff—to deliver high-quality, hands-on treatments and support optimal recovery outcomes. Key Responsibilities Conduct thorough physical assessments and develop individualised treatment plans. Provide effective, hands-on physiotherapy interventions. Educate patients on their condition, treatment goals, and recovery expectations. Maintain accurate clinical notes and patient records in line with HPCSA and practice standards. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated patient care. Adhere to all clinical and operational policies and procedures. Participate in team discussions, case reviews, and professional development when available. Requirements Bachelor’s Degree in Physiotherapy (or equivalent). Current registration with the HPCSA and possession of a valid BHF number. Minimum of 1 year of post-community service experience preferred. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team. Availability for ad-hoc locum shifts as required. Desired Attributes Professional, patient-centred, and empathetic.
