Position Overview Gameday Men’s Health Oakland is seeking a Medical Assistant / Phlebotomist to join our growing men’s health clinic. Our Oakland clinic offers: On-site lab testing with same-day results A modern, welcoming clinical environment Evidence-based care delivered with a highly personal touch Why You’ll Love Working Here No nights, no weekends, no holidays — predictable weekday schedule Small, collaborative team where your contribution truly matters Opportunity to grow with the practice and expand your skill set Meaningful patient interactions with men actively working to improve their health A role with autonomy, variety, and real responsibility Key Responsibilities Clinical Responsibilities Perform venipuncture and blood draws for in-house lab testing Administer injections (testosterone, B12, vitamins, and other therapies) Obtain and record patient vitals accurately in the EMR Ensure lab results are properly documented and reviewed Assist providers during in-office procedures Maintain strict adherence to HIPAA and clinical protocols Sexual Health \& Specialty Procedures Assist with sexual health treatments including: PRP-based procedures Shockwave therapy for sexual wellness Willingness to be trained in additional men’s health treatments under provider supervision Administrative \& Front Office Support Greet patients and provide a calm, professional, welcoming experience Assist with scheduling appointments and basic front-desk coverage as needed Support daily clinic operations and workflow General Practice Support Assist with lab operations and inventory management Support a variety of tasks as needed in a small startup-style practice Adapt quickly to changing priorities and clinic needs Qualifications \& Requirements Required: Minimum 1 year of phlebotomy experience Phlebotomy certification required; CPT-1 strongly preferred Medical Assistant certification from an accredited program preferred; relevant clinical experience strongly valued Comfortable assisting with sexual health procedures (training provided) Willingness to assist with both clinical and administrative duties Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment BLS certification (or willingness to obtain) Preferred: Interest in hormone optimization, longevity, and preventative medicine Experience in urology, men’s health, hormone therapy, med spa, family medicine, or primary care Men’s health or sexual wellness experience a plus Other Requirements: No current or pending malpractice lawsuits Must be reliable, professional, and patient-focused Who Thrives in This Role This position is a great fit for someone who: Enjoys variety and doesn’t want a “one-lane” MA role Is comfortable wearing multiple hats in a small practice Wants to grow clinically and professionally Is mature, dependable, and takes ownership of their work How to Apply Please submit your resume and a brief cover letter highlighting your relevant experience and interest in men’s health. We are currently looking for skilled Phlebotomists to join our community healthcare team. Ideal phlebotomist candidates are currently working in the area of phlebotomy with a minimum of 1-year hands on venipuncture experience in a high-volume setting. What you’ll do as a Phlebotomist: Review patient records for accuracy and completeness. Label and ensure all samples are accurately identified. Set up and prepare all equipment and supplies for venipuncture procedure. Venipuncture and finger-sticks Centrifuge blood sample as outlined in clinical protocol provided. Monitor patients for reactions as well as ensure the quality of the sample. Ensure patient confidentiality and comfortability while meeting customer service expectations throughout entire process. Oversee and ensure proper sanitation and cleaning of equipment and work areas between patients. Utilize personal protective equipment correctly to ensure the safety of coworkers and patients. Correctly label transfer tubes and following exact directions for handling and storing specimens for transport Properly package and ship specimens to central lab on a daily basis. Cross train and participate in core Medical Assistant duties including Ankle Brachial Index, Osteoporosis, AFIB, Registration screening areas. What you'll need as a Phlebotomist: Precision phlebotomy skills with a minimum of 1 year experience with adult venipuncture. Experienced with centrifuge and separating serum and plasma specimens into transport tubes using transfer devices. Desire to provide unparalleled customer service. Great attention to detail and organization. Must be willing to cross train and perform additional tasks, such as: Ankle Brachial Index, Osteoporosis, AFIB, Patient Registration, and other health screenings within the Medical Assistant position. Valid Driver's License and the ability to be insured to drive a company vehicle (paid team drive time) Strength in teamwork \& collaboration; sharing responsibilities driving the company van, loading, and unloading equipment (up to 50 lbs).
