Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant and Licensed Athletic Trainer to join our team. The ideal candidate will work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to provide high-quality patient care in an outpatient setting. The Physical Therapist Assistant will play a crucial role in helping patients recover from injuries, manage pain, and improve their overall physical function. Responsibilities Assist the Physical Therapist in developing and implementing individualized treatment plans for patients. Provide direct patient care through therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques including trigger point therapy, and modalities as prescribed. Monitor patient progress and document treatment outcomes accurately in compliance with medical terminology standards. Educate patients on treatment plans, exercises, and home care strategies to enhance recovery. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care and effective discharge planning. Maintain a clean and safe working environment while adhering to facility protocols and safety guidelines. Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay current with best practices in physiotherapy. Skills Proficient knowledge of anatomy and physiology relevant to physical therapy practices. Experience in various settings such as acute care, outpatient clinics, skilled nursing facilities, geriatrics, orthopedics, pediatrics, and home health is preferred. Strong understanding of care plans and discharge planning processes. Excellent communication skills for effective patient interaction and collaboration with healthcare teams. Ability to demonstrate compassion and empathy while providing patient-centered care. Familiarity with rehabilitation techniques and therapies used in physical therapy practice.
