Our services range from software development projects, cloud migrations and replacement of legacy applications and services, as well as the digitalization of processes and business domains. ### Basic Information Type of contract: Permanent / Unlimited Working hours: Full-time (approx. 40h / week) Location: 100% remote We are looking for a Frontend Software Engineer to take ownership of the frontend development of a modern e-commerce platform. As the primary frontend engineer on the project, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining the entire customer-facing shopping experience. You will work directly with stakeholders and backend engineers to transform business requirements into intuitive and high-performing user interfaces. You will have significant influence on frontend architecture, technology decisions, user experience, and implementation standards. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys taking ownership, making technical decisions, and building scalable e-commerce solutions from the ground up. ### Your Area of Responsibility Own the frontend development of our e-commerce platform Design, develop, and maintain customer-facing shopping experiences Implement product catalogs, product detail pages, shopping cart and checkout functionality Translate business requirements into scalable frontend solutions Integrate backend services, payment providers, search solutions, and third-party systems Ensure high performance, responsiveness, accessibility, and maintainability Drive frontend architecture decisions and establish development standards Identify and implement improvements to user experience and conversion flows Work in an Agile environment with 2-week sprint cycles Take responsibility for code quality, testing, and deployment processes ### Skills and Qualifications You Bring With You 5+ years of experience in frontend software development Strong experience with React and TypeScript Experience with Next.js and modern frontend architectures Solid understanding of state management, API integrations, and frontend performance optimization Experience building and maintaining e-commerce applications or online shops Familiarity with platforms such as Shopware, Shopify, commercetools, Magento/Adobe Commerce, or similar solutions Experience with shopping cart, checkout, payment, and product catalog implementations Ability to independently drive frontend topics and make architectural decisions Strong communication skills and a proactive mindset Excellent English and German communication skills Valid work permit within the EU and residence within the EU, preferably Germany or Ireland
