[PBOA] is a busy, multi-physician, patient-centered orthopedic practice seeking a Medical Assistant who is organized and independently motivated to join our Clinical Team. This position is uniquely responsible for supporting our high-volume orthopedic multi-specialists. In addition, is accountable for rooming patients, capturing vitals, obtaining/entering clinical information into the patient’s electronic medical record, cleaning and maintaining exam rooms, and fielding clinical messages. Travel to our satellite offices is required, but it is infrequent for this specialized role. Required Qualifications: Massachusetts Medical Assistant Certification Required, CNA Certification, EMT Certification Technical Skills/Competencies: Ability to thrive in a customer driven, fast-paced environment. Knowledge of anatomy and medical terminology, strong communication and writing skills, and being able to work effectively with other team members. Job duties also consist of: Assisting the provider, providing quality hands-on patient care Cast removal and application Durable Medical Equipment [DME] application as requested by providers Management and facilitation of medication refills per provider direction Suture removals Clinical Workflow Strong organizational skills Prepare exam rooms in between each patient Injection preparation (as needed) Regular, daily, stocking of exam rooms with the necessary supplies Receive and handle all clinical patient telephone calls to completion under the advisement of the provider Adaptability/Flexibility - Ability to respond quickly and appropriately to situations that may arise. An individual who takes the initiative to problem solve for their team and for the greater good of the practice. Team/Culture – Willingness to work, function and communicate on a multi-disciplinary team. Possess the knowledge and skills to develop constructive and cooperative working relationships within the entire practice. Description: This part-time position (approximately 10 hours a month) is responsible for supporting and developing a local Recovery Coach Learning Community in one of the Department of Public Health-Bureau of Addiction Services (BSAS) regions. The RCX Regional Coordinator facilitates in person recovery coach learning community meetings in a collaborating Peer Recovery Support Center. The focus is on skill development, resource sharing, and community support. What You Will be Doing to Support Others... Foster a sense of community within the RCLC’s that ensures diversity, equity, and inclusion Develop relationships with Peer Recovery Support Centers- Host sites Collaborate with team on developing monthly Recovery Coaching topics Facilitate 90 minute monthly in person meetings Complete required documentation Meet with supervisor to discuss plans and training needs Develop and implement outreach and recruitment strategies to include the entire region When virtual meetings are warranted (snow/weather events) skilled in facilitating online meetings Manage meeting documentation including sign-in, minutes, surveys Requirements: Must have lived experience in sustained recovery Must be an experienced Recovery Coach Certified Addiction Recovery Coach (CARC) strongly preferred Recovery Coach Supervisor experience preferred Must have a thorough understanding of the peer model Demonstrated leadership experience Facilitation Skills Detail-oriented with strong organization skills and ability to multi-task High School Diploma or equivalent Acceptable background record checks as required by program Valid MA driver’s license with acceptable driving record and current proof of insurance Bay State Community Services is an equal opportunity employer.
