Functional Exercise Specialist

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Exercise Specialist to join our therapeutic fitness clinic. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in functional exercise disciplines and demonstrate a passion for promoting holistic health and wellness. This role involves designing and implementing personalized exercise programs, including "hands on" assisted stretching techniques, that focus on functional fitness goals. Our clients are typically older individuals (55+) that are interested in getting stronger for overall health and longevity. Duties * Develop and implement tailored exercise programs based on individual client assessments and goals. * Maintain good notes and records in each individual client's files. * Provide instruction on proper body mechanics and exercise techniques to ensure safety and effectiveness. * Utilize knowledge of physiology and anatomy to educate clients on the benefits of various exercises. * Conduct fitness assessments to track progress and adjust programs as necessary. * Collaborate with other health and wellness professionals to create a comprehensive approach to client wellness. * Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment that encourages participation and engagement. Qualifications * Proven experience in personal training with an emphasis, knowledge, and passion for holistic health and wellness. * Strong understanding of exercise physiology, body mechanics, anatomy, and program design. * Proficiency in various functional modalities including mobility, stretching, balance, strength, and posture correction. * Excellent teaching skills with the ability to motivate and inspire clients. * Strong communication skills with an emphasis on providing exceptional customer service. * Certification in personal training or group fitness from a recognized organization is preferred. * Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends as needed.
